In this level the players don’t go out of their way to hit and start fights it’s actual hockey
Jr hockey talent has gone down in quality in the US. While it’s also become much less physical and has a lot less fighting. I don’t think the two are connected. It’s mainly because players are picking college vs aging out. Plus Pro hockey is younger and top players leave for pro before aging out now.

How much faster was the game play? I only played rec-league in the beginner/intermediate level and when I skated with the advanced players… I felt like a donkey running against thoroughbreds. I mentally and physically couldn’t keep up. Meanwhile some of the local AA minor league players were using that night as opportunity to get some skating in and they ran circles around the guys I thought were really good.
Pretty sure the guy who yelled in the stands was just some jealous houseleague bender. Keep up the great work!!!
