Dunno, the fact that they became so detached from humanity, to the point of becoming the warrior instead of it being a part of them, is probably the most tragic of fate. They sacrificed everything from a path of death, ruin and destruction, their own humanity chief among the victim of their choices. Thinking about it, is really chilling.

The reason why Reynauld wasn't initially in DD2 is because he was cut as the other characters filled in specific roles far more effectively, however the community's love for the Crusader led them to bringing our boy back. You can hear them talk about this in their most recent Dev Preview for the Binding Blade, 43:30 onward. Channel is called Red Hook Studios.

Once again, I'm on the comments, rambling about theories not so clear. I'm having doubts about the part that the warlord dies in the hands of the heroes. If you pay attention, the Deathblow icon does not appear, and it does not too in other battles that the enemies supposedly survive, like the antiquarian. Could it be that he actually managed to flee, and therefore continues to try and get his revenge? Either that or I'm just making a fool of myself about a missing icon. Besides that, you opened my eyes to the truth: Reynauld has a big ego. He did love his family, but he loved himself more, so he didn't come back. Also, the mercy was not out of compassion, but to strengthen his own legend. Thanks for the video, perfect as always. Keep up the good work!

I know you posted your schedule for this year already, but I wanted to recommend a short game that can be beaten with less then 8 hours with a casual play style, it is called Gunbrella, I originally bought it after playing another game Ami recommend Blood West, but I rec amend this game for its great story and gameplay!
The story of the Crusader and Walter White are very similar. They both had a boring life, until they both made a very radical choice in their lives that made them feel alive.
I honestly feel that Crusader should have been added from the start of the game. Dont get me wrong, I'm happy hes back, but it feels hollow & kind of looks like our deus vult boi was taken just to be put back for DLC.

Reynauld does harbor regret, he just buries it with deeds of bravery and heroism. He feels he's needed elsewhere, so he commits himself to battle.
