    Hey just thought I'd let you know your videos have been a huge help to me. Gave me the confidence to put a clutch in my Case 685 a few months ago.

      That's awesome, I'm really glad to hear it! That was one hope I have with my channel, to show that it's possible for us regular Joes to do these jobs. Thanks for watching!

    This was pretty entertaining video. I have a British IH-475 with Perkins 4.212 engine but city people won't see a difference. 😀

      Interesting, I wasn't aware that IH used any Perkins engines until the end with the C series tractors. Thanks for watching!

      It has been well looked after especially since kit would be 50ish years old!

    Awesome video once again. Does the injectors need to go back to the same cylinder they came from or it does it matter which cylinder they go to on assembly?

      It shouldn't make any difference, especially with new sealing washers etc. Thanks for watching!

    Good day Dave from Ontario I have 574, hard starter in cold. Someone told me about heater in intake
    At 15-36 u have your thumb intake for either, is that were u would put heater, also they said diesel runs down on it
    to help get hotter ???
    Boy dinner time 12-00 o clock timed perfect
    if u have hand throttle at idle on rich fuel it seems to help
    Yea they should have fuel pump, Fuel gauge said I had 1/2 tank of fuel went up big hill tractor stopped lack of fuel
    I watch fellow from States had d-8 with 239 turbo. R those motors heavier? He said 100 hp
    Well Dave thanks for now

    • @CanadianRedneck15
      @CanadianRedneck15  3 місяці тому

      Yes the intake heater goes in in place of the ether adapter. The manifold heater injects a bit of fuel in the intake manifold and lights it to heat the intake manifold.
      The D239 in a TD8 has heavier piston pins to handle the higher pressures in the turbo engine. With the turbo you can dump more fuel to make more HP. Alos a tractor is rated on PTO HP which would be 10-20% less than engine HP so your 574 rated at 62 HP if I remember correctly would be 70-75 engine HP so bumping to 100 with a turbo isn't a big reach and might be rated at slightly higher RPM.
      Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
