Al Grey sent me to Dr. Donald S. Reinhardt in the early ‘70’. His teachings completely blew me out of the water. I was studying Biology at Temple University at the time. Unfortunately we only had a few lessons but he put me on the right path. He brought me to great strength, endurance, pleasure and fun. Istill use his exercises today. The man was a great explorer and teacher. May he rest in peace.

I see Alan Wise's poster in the foreground as well as the infamous MF Horn 3 back jacket cover...what was the reason Doc suggested putting a drop of oil around the bell bead? The tape cuts out just as he was explaining...
12:51 what a perfect enboushure.. You need to work on the low register in that aspect. Currently, I can play from low F# to double high C proficiently. If I had understood earlier, from the time I first learned to play the trumpet, that merely making the embouchure 'comfortable' could have negative consequences later on, I wouldn't have faced difficulties as an adult player. The embouchure created during childhood often becomes a trumpet player's greatest 'talent' area. Unfortunately, some individuals endure challenges throughout their entire lives.
