    I would highly suggest the liquid culture syringe is 1st tested for contamination. If its good after about 7 days of growth on agar then you know your Lc syringe is contamination free. Then proceed to inoculating the liquid culture jars and you now have genetics saved on agar if needed! Mush love ❤️

    Your jars have injection ports, why aren’t you injecting LC into those rather than opening the lids?

    Fantastic video, thank you. No nonsense, straight to the point. I have a cordyceps LC syringe I purchased recently with some other gourmet syringes. Didn’t quite know how to grow. This video will help out immensely. Earned my subscription 👍🏼
    I think you may have meant to say ‘lid’ instead of ‘jar’ at 11:21.

    Good vid but the yeast you used looks like standard bakers yeast rather than nutritional yeast.

    • @ezmushroom
      @ezmushroom  6 місяців тому +5

      It all goes through a 15psi sterilization so it makes no difference....the yeast is deactivated in the pressure cooker therefore it becomes nutritional yeast. Nutritional profile is pretty much the same its only there to add B vitamins.

    Wow its that easy huh usually for other species of mushrooms that much liquid culture would be definitely contamination.

      Yeh they need alot more LC, as the mycelium doesnt spread. If you are using 10g rice you might need less than 10ml LC.
      Just make sure each rice kernel is covered with some LC.

    Excellent guide and video. Peaceful tunes and direct instructions for a seemingly no nonsense grow. May I ask if you have experimented with your sous vide, for LC and Grain Spawn/Substrate controlled pasteurisation in relation to both Cordyceps and other Gourmet strains? Are there limitations that would prevent use of such here ,rather than the PC sterilisation cycle? You are the only person I have seen mention Sous Vide and it was the 1st thing I thought of, as an alternative for lower tech pasteurisation, so I was wondering its limits. Kind regards :)

      @@ezmushroom Cool thanks, will do. I have a feeling you're about to be a trendsetter with new "Tek", as no one mentions such elsewhere.

    How come you were able to open lc in a sab they are very susceptible to contamination, Great skills man...
    I have a question, because of having contamination can i use 1g malt for 600ml to reduce contam risks?

    • @ezmushroom

      The liquid culture jar was finished after the inoculation, so I won't be using that jar again.
      I don't tend to keep my LC jars long-term; I just expand a 1ml and then use the full jar as soon as possible. I store culture on agar or "master syringes" for longer-term use. A video on this topic is coming soon.
      Yes, I've used that LC recipe with Cordyceps, and the culture grew without problems.
