Microsoft has no problem with Windows95man. They have known about him for a long time and he has actually performed as DJ in their pre-christmas party. They are happy that he won.
Microsoft does not care, because Windows 95 is not a protected trademark anymore. He told in an interview that Microsoft did send him a pair of Win95 socks some time back though... 😅

@@DonTom-qo6jzit’s no longer a trade mark if it’s not protected. Did you know Yo-Yo was a trade mark at first but soon lost that status because the inventor/producer didn’t want to fight for their right. It became just a word.
Everyone laughed at Lordi when it was chosen to represent Finland. 😅 I loved this performance.

Even though there are always a few novelty acts (or joke entries) they don't make me laugh out loud. This one managed to do that, so I think it's a joke entry done right! (and the vocals are actually good)

It seems that Windows95 as a trademark is obsolete, so that shouldn't be a problem, but the ESC might still consider it as commercial promotion, because everybody knows, that it refers to Microsoft, but he has another name in reserve. We don't know yet, which it is.
I would imagine UMK checked with EBU if it's okay. Because they've said they checked with EBU if the song name Paskana is okay. Paskana, litereallly "as shit", meaning something like fucked up or wrecked.

I was honestly disappointed about Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu this year, as songs weren't as good as they've been in 2020-2023. Didn't watch final. But this spectacle brought moments of joy and while it will never win Eurovision 2024 - it certainly will bring many moments of laugh and joy around Europe. So go Windows95man!

It has now been proven pointless to have a broadcaster bringing up the production value of the national selections when the production value of the public is low. This is geeky crap at its best.

I voted for this because they are confident on stage, their live vocals are good ( other contestants were too nervous and the live vocals were bad because of that ) and the song is catchy. I was entertained. 🤷 I was about to vote for Sara but she was too nervous so 🤷.
I don't care. Juries suck so they vote some boring song to win again.
