High 5: Weekend Blues (Episode 2)

The kids dream about the fun they will have over the weekend-- during school hours.
Background Info:
- This was created for a 5-word story project, which meant only 5 words could be used for storytelling. As a result, we had Kaiden provide nonsensical mumbling when he's teaching the kids (sorta like the adults from Peanuts) and the title of the short isn't seen onscreen (because apparently this counted for onscreen words as well, with the exception of credits).
- As you could probably tell, the giant ice cream cone that I licked was a fake; it was a Dave & Buster's squishy prize. And I didn't actually lick it, my tongue was just a few centimeters away from the squishy, but we caught it at an angle where that isn't noticeable. ...But it probably is now, because I told you. (Plus, it happens so fast that it's hard to tell unless you pause it.)
- This short film aired on Eagle News on April 23, 2024. However, there were a few technical errors. Some kid began running the Eagle News credits during the scene where we run out of the school in slow-motion, and then the closing announcement (where the newscasters promoted the upcoming release of "Shoe-ting Stars") got cut off.
