Absolutely fantastic! With less than 22000 km, the balance of a 3 year/45000 km service plan and 3 year/120000 km warranty still active, this is an excellent buy. The 1.0 turbocharged 3 cylinder engine has much more punch than the numbers suggests, and this performance doesn’t sacrifice on fuel efficiency. In fact, 20 km/l or more is easily attainable in real world driving on the open road.

I get the gist of you trying to sell the car to the layman out there but VW removed all those features that make the car a driving pleasure. No steering wheel controls, basic instrumentals, plastic finish on the cockpit and doors but still the car will cost a customer an arm and a leg. It is categorically unfair to sell this car for anything over R200K if it only has level 1 safety features. It doesn't even have fog lights.

It’s a compromise for sure. But it is an attempt to make it more accessible. I’d have to say, I would also rather spend a little more and get the comfortline.
