+William McCarthy C.U.B.E. and Anti-Chamber both had similar puzzle aspects to them just not the perspective thing. i love this kind of game makes you think out side of the box and has multiple solutions!
+Arturo Gutierrez "Excuse Me, Anyone Out There, The Person Who Was Once Occupying This Computer Device Has Died; Please Remove Him From The Computer And Find A Suitable Replacement"
personally, I like it a lot. it fits the music, sort of like some guy tapping his shoe to the sound in some old-timey club. but I do think they should have sound sliders because some sounds seem out of whack and I like control of that sorta stuff :)
+Sheldon ChiefBody Hmm, back when I was a kid, it was my first concept of nightmare (next to wax mannequin): Stuff with small size that turns overwhelming big or something. Still getting a weird terror whenever I intensively think about it. Wonder if anyone ever research about the matter?
+Clarence Le I had weird fever dreams too, but they we're generally things getting faster and faster until i would wake up because i had a massive migraine... And what i was seeing apart from one time was outlandish, worlds that aren't possible, at least not in this version of reality. For example, once i was on a staircase forming a square loop, meaning you would always go upstairs whilst also going in circles... Which is impossible except if you're looking at it from a certain perspective, and still in 3D it makes no sense, yet there i was being chased by some dude with a moose head, going faster and faster until i woke up. What the fuck.
BxPanda7 Just found a thread with ppl having the same kinds of fever dream. Usually it happens as child, with the geometric image (mine is a blue-ish square), moving at antagonizing slow speed, with deafening noise, while still most of the time being aware of surroundings. I guess it's the combination of near-death (fever) insignificance feeling and visual intro-perspective confusion (kind of like when I'm stuck on a hard math geometry question and try to find an answer when sleeping only to realize it's was impossible to answer from an unreal perception. Took me a while after waking up to snap back that it's not suppose to be that complicated, though how it was i couldn't remember.) www.dreamviews.com/nightmares-recurring-dreams/29794-geometric-night-terrors-%40-fever-dreams-8.html
Wow, how incredibly clever and cool. I had an idea like this once, but not as a game. And is it just me or does this game have a charming "late 90's/early 2000s PC game" vibe? The sound design especially. Love it.
I love the finished product but I’m totally digging the vibe of these levels. I hope the dream creator pans out and we can make some really nice levels!
Just played through the original (old) demo, and the idea is ingenious. And from the looks of things, they've really polished the game. Looking forward to it being out in the wild!
+Adam Campbell I'm not sure this would even work well in VR. The whole mechanic is based on perspective, and how you can't tell if something is big but far away or small and close _in 2d_. In _3d_ however, you _can_ tell.
+BxPanda7 This illusion doesn't work if you have depth perception, which you don't have with objects on a normal screen, but you do have in the real world and in VR. You can tell if something's close and small or far away and big, if you're seeing it in 3D. The gameplay could probably still work, but you would very clearly see the object moving back and forth while it's changing size, so the illusion is gone. The illusion would work again if you closed one eye, but the game can't really check if you're doing that.
I've been looking forward to this game for quite some time. It looked amazing before, and looks even more amazing now! I seriously can't wait to get my hands on this.
It's interesting, but I hope the puzzle mechanic doesn't end up feeling a little bit one-note. I don't think I could play for very long if the essential solution was always "change size of X". Maybe in a more visually creative environment I could enjoy that as a playground, but as it is I'm curious to see how a compelling game will come from this concept.
This puzzle game actually has potential. Here are some additional features i had in mind: Mirrors: So you can see in areas you normaly can't see ,combine Pictures in different corners of the room to 1 object, Stretch or Shrink objects(like those mirrors that make you look fat/tall). Lenses: Using lenses(one or mutliple) to resize objects you can't resize to a specific size because the room is too small. Shadows: Grabbing Shadows of objects as objects. Similar to grabbing pictures, but rotating objects can give you different variations of shadows for example. Combining shadows of objects might also be a funny thing.
SteamPunk www.therefinedgeek.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/MoSTDemo.zip Literally the first google result for 'Museum of Simulation Technology download" had this link in it.
Holy Crap men, This is simply Jawdropping! I watch this with a big smile on my face. Excellent! The Brian-stimulating ideas are gorgeous..:D And the end.. This is Hilarious, I want it. NOW.
I can't wait for the release! I love the idea & all the artworks and music/sounds. I don't see why some people are complaining about the sounds because I think the atmosphere is great. A good puzzle game doesn't have to be always gloomy and depressing! Please keep it the way it is.
I forgot, that when I opened this video, I had already been listening to "Epicuros - Metropolis 2.1 (PsyChill, Space Synth, Slow Trance)" on youtube, which mixed quite good when watching Polygon.
Really cool. I can see why people compare this to Portal, but I'd argue it is a better comparison with Portal's predecessor, Narbacular Drop. It's got the trippy puzzle aspect down, but Portal's charm was also the inclusion of the amazing antagonist.
Wow, that's really creative! I wonder how they made the code for this game to make the objects get larger as the farther they appear to be on the ground or wall.
Looks amazing! I hope they get the funding to make this as big and long as they want! Would love to get my hands on a PS4 port as well. I even got some Twin Peaks vibes off of that lounge jazz soundtrack :D
This is the best idea for a puzzle game since Portal.
+William McCarthy The Talos Principle is also Great
+William McCarthy C.U.B.E. and Anti-Chamber both had similar puzzle aspects to them just not the perspective thing. i love this kind of game makes you think out side of the box and has multiple solutions!
I love these type of games! Thanks for telling me about those otehr games
+William McCarthy also the Stanley parable
+William McCarthy And where is Antichamber? :)
The tastefulness of every aspect of this demo is outstanding
Just played Superliminal, what an incredible game, I played until finished, completely immersive and thoughtful.
Stanley found that there was something strange happening with his eyes...
+Arturo Gutierrez "Excuse Me, Anyone Out There, The Person Who Was Once Occupying This Computer Device Has Died; Please Remove Him From The Computer And Find A Suitable Replacement"

+Razielbergamini the classics never die!
yes
really this looks incredible, but dear god fix the walking sound
+Aiviymatoc Urotsukidoji i liked it, but the ability to lower the volume of just that sound is a good idea
+Edward Thomson I find that it's unrealistic with the timing. it seems like you take such few steps for how far you are going.
It's hilarious when the player runs and it plays a higher pitch version of the sound hahaha
+Aiviymatoc Urotsukidoji You mean you dont like walking around in tap shoes???
personally, I like it a lot. it fits the music, sort of like some guy tapping his shoe to the sound in some old-timey club. but I do think they should have sound sliders because some sounds seem out of whack and I like control of that sorta stuff :)
well this just looks incredible
Reminds me of those messed up dreams I get whenever I catch a fever lol
I get those too! Stuff just randomly changes size. I get a weird déjà vu sensation whenever I think about it.
+AyleidCraft The thumb is the scariest when it becomes massive.

4:52 - The Weighted Companion Exit
When he grabbed he moon, aww man thats cool.
6:00 "we've been tricked, we've been backstabbed, and we've been, quite possibly, bamboozled."
The character is doing reasonably well with all these puzzles, while wearing 6 inch heels.
I love the finished product but I’m totally digging the vibe of these levels. I hope the dream creator pans out and we can make some really nice levels!
Same I need more games like Superliminal
Superliminal sure looked different 5 years ago
I knew I shouldn't have worn my tap dancing shoes.
This looks amazing! I can't wait to see what becomes of it.
Just played through the original (old) demo, and the idea is ingenious. And from the looks of things, they've really polished the game. Looking forward to it being out in the wild!
i love this game bgm ! beautiful !!
Super cool idea for a puzzle game I think this would be cool with a vr headset

Jeroen Versteeg You know illusions work in 3d right ?
MiauFrito ikr go htc vive xD

This is crazy to watch after playing subliminal. Like all the pieces and concepts are here, just with a different coat of paint.
Alexander Thobe ikr!
Anyone else get a stanley parable vibe from this?
That's it! Watched the whole video and thought it was familiar.
Antichamber
This game is basically stanley parable with more drugs and less british.
there are a lot of numered doors and enmansipation grids
DEFINATELY
Stanley Parable / Portal influences in level design are strong, but *definitely* a whole new dimension, mechanically. Love it.
This looks fantastic, I love the music and atmosphere of it as well, a little stanley's parable thrown in there
This just blew my mind. I need this so badly.
Wow this is SO fking original. Props to the people behind the concept. And the music is so soothing, I love it.
I've been looking forward to this game for quite some time. It looked amazing before, and looks even more amazing now! I seriously can't wait to get my hands on this.
does anyone know where to find this music/soundtrack?
+wayne soniat Has someone told you? I need to know!
+Ed Cam I was just about to ask this, please, someone help! It's so good!
I haven't found out yet :(
Try your closest 50s elevator.
+wayne soniat I've heard it before too. I want to say I also heard it in a movie?
It's such a brilliant concept for a puzzle game.
I have been obsessed with this game for the last 2 years. I can't wait. The new, updated graphics are so fresh.
It's interesting, but I hope the puzzle mechanic doesn't end up feeling a little bit one-note. I don't think I could play for very long if the essential solution was always "change size of X". That’s why there’s the Rubik’s cube section
my goodness thats amazing. i can feel my mind stretching and twisting with this one.
That was incredibly soothing. The music is great and it looks way fun. I'll definitely give this one a buy when it comes out.
It's a puzzle aspect that's already been explored but it's nice to see someone actually making a full game of it
i love the aesthetic and the music. so lovely
is this still being worked on? this is absolutely amazing and easily the most unique thing i've seen in ages
and a bit later we got the amazing superliminal
Such a hypnotic game. Can't wait to play this after a long day.
Its shocking to see how superliminal has evolved through the years
This puzzle game actually has potential.

Literally the one of the only things I've been looking forward since last year
I've lost how many times i've played the earlier leaked prototype. I cannot wait for the official release...
Well, I can, but I don't want to..
Razorswiftz it's not too hard to find, but nothing displayed here is present in it.
+Vercalos al'Corlin why don't you just give a link? It's actually quite difficult to find it

Now this is quite awesome, didn't expect this..
And the music!!, brilliant!..
You have no idea how excited I am for this!
The background music is glorious XD. The game is awesome, absolutely awesome.
2:02 I physically shivered at the falling sensation.
This looks great, like Portal had a baby with the thrilling action of a museum!
Stanley met Chell: This dude was born.
Wow, what a great concept. I just hope they add more objects to each level so that the solution doesn't become obvious.
The best puzzle game I never saw, INCREDIBLE
Holy Crap men, This is simply Jawdropping! I watch this with a big smile on my face. Excellent!
The Brian-stimulating ideas are gorgeous..:D And the end.. This is Hilarious, I want it. NOW.
Holy crap this is insane. This is one of the best ideas that I've ever seen!
The music 😩🙌😍
It’s called “Lights of San Francisco” from the “Lights of America” album
(Edit): I think...
Wow, this has come a *long* way from that 2014 video. Super stoked about this, whenever it actually releases!
This must be combined with VR goggles. Complete and utter mindmelt!
I like it! And that shoe clapping sound just keeps me inside the game :)
Watching this game always fills me with glee, can't wait to play it!
I can't wait for the release! I love the idea & all the artworks and music/sounds.
I don't see why some people are complaining about the sounds because I think the atmosphere is great. A good puzzle game doesn't have to be always gloomy and depressing!
Please keep it the way it is.
This is very well thought out! Look forward to it!
YOU BROKE MY BRAIN. IT'S AWESOME
This build is absolutely gorgeous.Wish I had access to it.
Gives me that Stanley's Parable feel.
This is amazing, I've been waiting for sooo long. Everyone board the hype train!
This was delightful to watch.
Woah! So cool! I'm buying this when it comes out for sure!
finish this game please! this is the best idea for puzzles
greetings from the future. the game is out and it's called superliminal
I forgot, that when I opened this video, I had already been listening to "Epicuros - Metropolis 2.1 (PsyChill, Space Synth, Slow Trance)" on youtube, which mixed quite good when watching Polygon.
this is the coolest looking puzzle game ive ever seen. want it.
There's a few paintings like 6:00, that style/technique, in my doctor's office. Nice to see them used like this
I know it's a prototype, but it would be really cool if, when you make something really big in the air, it makes a loud sound when it falls.
now it do this
this is awe inspiring and god damn gorgeous
Reminds me of Antichamber, I like it, can't wait to play when its released.
i could watch this all day...
Very cool looking. I do hope the popping noise is just placeholder.
this is absolutely amazing
Yes! Can't wait to play this game!
so this is where superliminal got the idea from
This is literally Superliminal, it just took a long time to develop
Feel bad for the students at Digipen who made a perspective-based puzzle game 3 years before this. Students at that school make some banger stuff.
This game made me trip all 56,786,432 flavors of balls.
Really cool. I can see why people compare this to Portal, but I'd argue it is a better comparison with Portal's predecessor, Narbacular Drop. It's got the trippy puzzle aspect down, but Portal's charm was also the inclusion of the amazing antagonist.
my brain just melt off
great game,love it
awesome concept. looks like something straight out of the 90's. how many floppy disks will it take to install?
I'm geting izzy while watching this with a hangover
This game would be impossible to port to VR, rips
Oh man, I can't wait until this game gets released.
I love it, cannot wait to see more :)
This looks awesome!
I love its footsteps sound.
Really awesome. But is this drab office/museum look used throughout the whole game?
Imagine doing this while high
ahaha
Wow, that's really creative! I wonder how they made the code for this game to make the objects get larger as the farther they appear to be on the ground or wall.
Looks amazing! I hope they get the funding to make this as big and long as they want! Would love to get my hands on a PS4 port as well. I even got some Twin Peaks vibes off of that lounge jazz soundtrack :D
This is beautiful.
This game looks awesome!
This has everything portal had except maybe a story; I hope they put an amazying storyline like in portal in the game :D
Y'all ever gonna release this?
Probably not...
this became superliminal i believe
Still looks awesome. When is it coming out?
Oh look, Antichamber mechanics with a different art style. I'd buy it.
Wow i'm amazed!
