He was my Grandads hero and he always used to tell me stories about Dixie from back in the days, he was most vexed when I got to meet Dixie and got his autograph at a charity football match in 1974-75, I've always loved Dixie and I'm a rednose, true legend :)
Dixie Dean of Everton and England; the all-time greatest English top-flight goal-scorer with 60 League goals in the season 1927-1928 and in his whole Everton career 310 League goals in 362 League matches in the First Division (and altogether with Everton 349 League goals in 399 League games). Superlative figures! 🤗
37 HAT-TRICKS in the English 1st Division is something I didn’t think was possible. Dixie Dean is a legend for achieving something that’s impossible in the Prem today
The late great bill shankly idolised dixie...and that says a lot, over 100 goals in all competitions in ONE SEASON....how lucky we were / are to say that he was one of us...a true blue ✌
Can someone tell these so called sports writers Dixie scored 60 league goals. They are claiming that city player haaland. Has at the moment has scored 34 league goals not 50 his 50 is in all competitions Dixie scored 65 in all competitions FA CUP only .no other competitions in those days.
People make this argument a lot, but a-the game was more physical, b-if it was so easy for players I feel lots more would have reached 60 goals as Dixie did
@@rik061119 97/98 Golden boot shared 3ways between Chris Sutton, Dion Dublin and Michael Owen with 18 goals each. 98/99 shared 3 ways between Michel Owen, Dwight Yorke and JF Hasselbank with 18 goals each. You're having a laugh aren't you?
A man that doesn’t get near the recognition that he deserves
Arguably the greatest CF from British shores…
@@afcfinners probably the 2nd best in history!
Behind PELE who is 1st

@@LeBronyaJames i cant tell if ur happy or not
One of two all-time Everton players to score TWO hat tricks in ONE month. The other?… Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Legend. One of the best in the 1920s along with Ricardo Zamora, José Andrade, Hector Scarone, Josep Samitier and Paulino Alcantara
“One of”
He is our greatest ever player without a doubt. Nobody will ever be better for Everton over Dixie Dean.
He is to good
Wish we had Dixie ñow. Everton s all time no 9 come on Everton 💙💙💙
Our Everton Legend Dixie we will never forget you 💙💙💙💙💙⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dixie Dean is our Everton Legend 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Seen the great man outside Goodison before the Derby game . Shook his hand , got home later devastated that he’d passed away . RIP Dixie
TG Jones like Dean another great of that era, to some the best Everton player.
Greatest no 9 off all time come on Everton 💙
Straight into an all time World XI.
Incredible
Thanks pal
I remember my dad saying his dad knew Dixie Dean
My Dad's footy hero

Sports writers wouldn't have a clue. They don't respect the past.
It's done deliberate all records history etc. will be Vanquished goverment interference at dtdw level
damn his life is like a movie script lol
I'd love to see one made about him
Only 16 England appearances?.. wtf?!!
Yep. And 18 goals. What an absolute beast.
Think the number of international games was pretty low back then..
Yeah, World Cup wasn't even around yet lol
UTFT 💙💙
It was 38 League games, not 39. Just imagine if he had played in all 42 fixtures that season, as was then.
That is way my man Wayne Rooney (18) supports Everton Dixie Deane (9)
We all should revive him next season to score more goals than Haaland
Dixie and all the rest will be turning in their graves with what s going on at the moment.
You mean he's better than Alex Iwobe?!
no one is better than Iwobi
Surely not. Wishing thinking that fella
Everyone is better than iwobe, he's been trash since he came to goodison, might aswell play Townsend lmao
I am better than iwobi mate,he's shite.
How do you score 60 goals in 1 season🤣
Gerd mueller and Leo Messi could tell you how.
Dixi Dean was a fucking beast
@@Sspratz No they couldn't. 60 'League' goals! No cup games, no European games, just league. Only Dixie can tell you. No one has come close
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
he really looks like Carlos Tevez wtf
No. Carlos Tevez looks like him.
Look at the historical footage the game was no better than Sunday league back then

I am an evertonian sorry but Duncan was NOT a great player neither was lineker, a goalscorer yes but not a great player.
