Just a reminder for the Horn of the Mark: The effect triggers for *each* opponent that you've attacked with two or more creatures individually, meaning that - if you have at least 6 creatures to attack with - you can potentially look at the top 15 cards total and grab up to 3 creature cards among them. Each effect triggers separately, so it’s looking at the top 5 cards and grab a creature three times.
Came here to say this. I'll clarify, though, that by my reading, you'd pick 1 creature from each consecutive set of 5 cards; you wouldn't be able to pick *any* 3 creatures out of your top 15 cards.
@Nitpicking Nerds I'm not a judge, but yep, pretty sure. Horn doesn't have any limiting language on it, so if you have 3 opponents and at least 6 creatures to swing at them, you can get 3 triggers every time you move to attacks. It's 3 separate triggers, though, so it's really take the best creature from the top 5 cards 3 times in a row, not take the best 3 creatures from the top 15. Isshin doubles those attack triggers, as the others pointed out, and extra combats are super tasty with Horn on board. It wouldn't be unreasonable at all to end up churning through your entire library during one turn in 5-card chunks and taking the best creature from each chunk of cards. This set really seems all over the place in power level. You've got stuff like this for 2 mana and no color requirement, and then you've got stuff like the garbage self-burying balrog that seems like it could only even possibly be usable in a Grenzo deck.

I’m pretty hyped for Barad-Dur because of the jank potential. Assuming something dies somewhere you can activate it on an opponent’s turn at instant speed. Someone wiped my board in Brokkos? Now I have a mutate target for 3 mana. Looking for a one sided board wipe? Amass 2 on an opponent’s turn then Widespread Brutality. Have a lot of mana up in mono-black sacrifice? Sac a creature and make a surprise 5/5 to block.
If someone has a blood moon or back to basics that’s locking down my mana I’m going to throw everything I have at them until I can play my cards. Also they only really work in one/two color decks so staple seems strong
@@nikhilchhagan7371 you can play a handful of basics in even 5 colour decks, so with blood moon you'd still have access to every colour you need, back to basics is only a staple in 1/2 colour decks I'd say if the blood moon player is casting spells and you're not you're probably just losing, which is why I think it's a staple
I feel like Reprieve could be a really good versatile EDH staple? Serves as spot removal for opponents, you can bounce something to your own hand to protect from a board wipe, you can pull a card out of your graveyard. And you get to draw a card on top of all of that.
You can’t bounce something to your hand or get something out of the yard. “Spells” only exist on the stack, when they’re on the battefield they are permanents, and anywhere else they are cards.

Day 7 of losing 🪦
Im starting this video hoping that you wished me Happy Birthdayyyyyyy 🤞
Y'all are sleeping on Lotho
Is Austin Post like Post Malone?
You guys must have not seen spiteful banditry there is no way its not top 10 of the set.
Card seem pretty good but it is mostly just an Earthquake variant
@@NitpickingNerds You read its an enchantment right? That's like saying Meathook Massacre is just a black sun zenith variant.
@@Flav0rFlav007 on the one hand, I wish that card wasn't so limited (only 4 treasures max per round), while on the other hand, treasures have admittedly been getting a little excessive.
@Derek Ludwig if it didn't have the once per turn restriction, it could pay for itself while boardwiping and staying around for even more value. Seems a bit too broken.
@@danielsniff6405 oh, no doubt, it just seems like they've printed some pretty crazy treasure cards lol
Creature Tolkien deck
Clerks 2
When you praised the bear playmat . I puked in my mouth . Wtf mang . Keep it to magic and don't get pink eye
2.5 minutes into the video and its just ads
For Last March of Ents would you still play this when you have no creatures on board? Cause if I’m reading that right, you could draw 0 cards, then just put all your fatties on the board and just cheat the mana
You could do that, but you'd be missing out on so much card draw
The One Ring is clearly the best card in the set lol, come on. colorless rhystic study
Check out the new Legendary Enchantment ‘Flowering of the White Tree,’ and tell me that cards not busted lol.
