This is such a great underrated Game in my opinion !!! I love that Game and got it twice, for the PS1 and the N64. Love ANUBIS in this Game. Who else likes this Game???
War Gods is a fighting video game originally released to arcades by Midway Games in 1996. In the game, players control one of ten fighters who have been given great power by a mysterious ore that crashed-landed on Earth from outer space. The goal of the game is to defeat all the other fighters to become the most powerful warrior on the planet. The game was heavily influenced by Mortal Kombat series, and features controls similar to the Mortal Kombat games, as well as the series' signature fatalities. Unique to War Gods is the "3D" button, allowing users to use the background/foreground for additional attacks and evasive maneuvers. The game's graphics were created using a technology by Midway called "digital skin", which mapped photographs onto 3D models.
Ahh yes, this game. I remember having rented this game from blockbuster when there was nothing else good or new to rent, and doing so many times. I was disappointed every single time lmao.
Does this game have a character with a move where you break your opponents leg, they scream "AAH MY LEG" and then limps off screen ? Or am I making this stuff up in my head ? 🤣
I like Midway games, brings me back memories.
Hello my roaring 20’s!

Me it's obviously cheaply made but I think it had alot of potential for a more serious game with more funding.

a friend of mine was so proud of his N64 he actually tried to convince me this game was better than tekken 3 lol
N64 was amazing, but this game is not better than any Tekken game.
I like the soundtrack
i remember my older brother had a poster of this game hanging in his bedroom back in 1997
lol, it had to be his favorite game of all times.

Anubis you are chosen!!! ❤
ALWAYS liked this more than the pitiful MK4 , , ,👽👍👍
It's difficult to do fatalities in the Arcade version of WarGods, it's ridiculous.
Bryan Glynn y Kerry Hoskins = Shao Kahn y Sonya Blade = Warhead y Vallah.
Lo unico q no entiendo es porque no siguio la saga..
Tremendo juego...imaginen como estaria sacar una nueva version ahora..
God video
The models where only blocky because they wanted the most realistic characters on n64 hardware. It's Midway tradition
YEEEAAAAUUUUUHHHHHHHHH

Jogava no N64 até que não era dos piores kkkkkk
20:26 Immortalized

A game people have an unusual amount of hate for
War Gods should be a... Konami game.

Salve rappa,*!!#Cheguei...

I just saw another MAME version of this..and the sound and clarity is terrible compared to the ARCADE version
