Hi the man that’s playing the organ in your avatar this is gonna sound crazy I believe I met him at least 10 years ago I went to a silent movie that had an organist in Middletown New York and I remember after it was over the people that I went with and myself spoke with the organist a great length I briefly joined some society that was him I don’t remember the exact name but it was like silent movies and organist and everything and they had a schedule of where they played and everything but I had a picture of the organist and when I saw the avatar I just about freaked out because I believe it’s the same person. Anyway I hope you can respond to my question if the man in the picture is an organist that played in Middletown New York over 10 years ago maybe like 12 or 15 years ago.
I played three shows at the Middletown Paramount in 2012, that were sponsored by the Neversink Valley Museum: "The Avenging Conscience", "Chicago", and "Manslaughter". Same guy?
@@silentfilmmusic was that you in the avatar? I think you were a little chubbier when met you, it was in the Paramount in Middletown I think, what a SMALL WORLD! For some reason I thought it was before Halloween & the film was Nosferatu or some other horror film?
@@silentfilmmusic @Ben Model - silent film accompanist/historian IT WAS SOMETIME B/W 2007-2011, SO PERHAPS MY MEMORY IS OFF, BUT THEN AGAIN HOW MANY ORGANISTS ARE AROUND THAT PLAY SILENT MOVIES? IF IT WAS YOU, THE YEARS HAVE BEEN VERY KIND, BEC. YOU DONT APPEAR TO HAVE AGED IF U WERE THE SAME PERSON, I WENT W/ A MEETUP GROUP WHEN I WENT TO THE PARAMOUNT, & THE ORGANIZER 9NO PUN INTENDED) WAS LARRY BARNES, HE WAS INTO SILENT MOVIES AS I RECALL.
That was really great.
This was fantastic, even with the lyric flub. But that's the joy of live performance.
Nice! Thank you, Ben.
WOW!!! What a find!!
Well that's a wow!
That is John Raitt appearing at the end, isn't it?

@@JPJPJPJP That wasn't me, then. I've never done Nosferatu or the other Halloween standards at the Paramount - just the 3 silents I mentioned.

Is that Shirley MacLaine four girls down from Mary Stanton? Was she still in the show at this point?
Thelma Pelish is the big gal. Both Mary and Thelma were in the film version also.
How many understudies get to go on for the star, on national TV? What a break!
She was certainly good enough to be the star.
Amazing Ben , I found your Piano song on a very old New York 1902 footage ,..BTW is this video public domain ?
