Ive been to a lot of games (going back to the late 80's. that 08 game still sticks out in my memories for one simple reason: ive never heard the stadium go from that quiet, to that loud. The place absolutely exploded. I was in the north end zone for that one.

One such game was 1978 when we beat OU...finally...at home. We did storm the field and the goal post on the South end came down. I remember Billy Sims fumbling late in the game to seal the win which was huge for TO at the time. Most memorable however was the John Rudd hit on a kick off. Hardest hit I have ever seen in person. Knocked the guy out cold. Keep up the great work. #GBR
Exactly!! I said it immediately after the game. Our garbage time players QB, WR, RB were our starters last year. That being said we had a lot of injuries and sim’s was terrible. The talent on this roster is far an above last year on offense.

I could not disagree with the RB discussion more. I rewatched the video and Dowdell has clear ball security issues he easily could have lost the ball 2 times prior to the carry he lost it on. If you watch that play he was late to bring in the second arm which led to the fumble. Emmitt is the clear number 1 because he has vision that none of the other running backs do. He is the only one that sees the hole in a different way. The run he broke none of the other 3 would have done it as it required vision and shifts and he is the only back that has both.
Agreed on the ball security. Good thing Dowdell fumbled in this game, so coaches can go at it with film to show and he can learn from it before the conference games. Still, he should be 2nd to Emmett.

I’m disagreeing here with Sipp. I hear what you’re saying but this would affect the team 100%. This is a team with a completely different culture that has got the better of us multiple years. The team would ask itself if Rhule’s way is the right way after losing to CU, especially at a home night game.
It’s kind of interesting. After week 1, I no longer have that sense of a security blanket with our defense. Even though we have an amazing DC. Our D line barely got to their qb. And our corners looked suspect at times. I’m trying not to read too much into it but I feel more confident in our offense now than our defense.
Watch the game again and notice how often our WRs run SLOWLY down the field. Raiola is ready to throw the ball many times, and the WRs haven't even made a cut in their route. At times, it's terrible. EVERY TIME there is an incompletion that wasn't far from an interception, this is exaggerated. This is bad news against a defense that can pressure the QB. Too often, Raiola is waiting for the WR to complete their route, primarily on long cutting routes. There are also poorly designed routes where a flat receiver isn't used to ensure a receiver has plenty of space. Same ole Satterfield design. That being said, a couple of routes do look good. The CB cut routes, where the receiver stops and comes back, the timing there is fantastic.

Watch the game again and notice how often our WRs run SLOWLY down the field. Raiola is ready to throw the ball many times, and the WRs haven't even made a cut in their route. At times, it's terrible. EVERY TIME there is an incompletion that wasn't far from an interception, this is exaggerated.
This is bad news against a defense that can pressure the QB. Too often, Raiola is waiting for the WR to complete their route, primarily on long cutting routes. There are also poorly designed routes where a flat receiver isn't used to ensure a receiver has plenty of space. Same ole Satterfield design.
That being said, a couple of routes do look good. The CB cut routes, where the receiver stops and comes back, the timing there is fantastic.

Charging the field for beating a weak Colorado team is not the Nebraska way. Don’t act like we don’t know how to win. That’s just embarrassing.
Hell nah. Never rush the field to this inferior team. Colowadoodoo always tries hard to be THE rival to Nebraska but it’s Oklahoma.
