👍Thanks Shari
I wouldn't trust Nissan quality control.
Newer ones are better
Nissan is sht. I'm sorry, but I'd never buy a Nissan.
Sounds like you never owed one…..
Reno was the cancer that was killin Nissan glad they finally parted ways

Thank you for helping me save money on cars
I average 5.8l/100km or 41mpg (summer) on my 2022 NX 350h. Your videos also helped a lot with my buying decision. Thank you so much👍Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
One month ago, my 2020 Honda CRV EX hit a record when I drove from North New Jersey to Washington DC, combined 500 hwy and 40 local miles with 46 mpg or 5.2L/100km.
My 2022 Toyota Corolla hatchback base S trim with 15 inch steel wheels I have gotten an amazing 4.5-4.6L or 51 MPG. This is with the 2.0L gas engine. This has to be the most fuel efficient gas car on the market and ultra reliable and FUN to drive!! Checks all the boxes! (I have the fuel economy screen shots to prove this fuel economy)
A Corolla isn't fun to drive... if you think it is, you haven't driven other cars. It's great for what it is as an economy car.
@@CynthiaVasquez-ut4hzyou’re definition of fun is different from his definition of fun. Calm down
In the summer, my 2019 Malibu gets 42mpg in the highway and 35 in the city. In a cold winter, I get the EPA 36mpg hwy and 28 in the city (below 40 degrees)
My Toyota camry hybrid 2019 makes 4.3lts/4.5lts I couldn't be happier🥳🇵🇹🇵🇹
Honda Civic all the way. LOVE my 2019, which gets 42.3 on the highway which is 95% of my driving as a courier.
My 2022 Crosstrek Outdoor (which has the 2.5L FB25D engine) is so far getting _way_ better than rated fuel economy. I'm honestly blown away by it. On highway trips (varying between main highways and country roads) I've gotten 5.3L/100km to 6.0L/100km, and even when I have a sea kayak strapped to the roof I've gotten 6.2L/100km to 7.2L/100km (often wind plays a roll here). In the city I'm averaging around 8.5 to 9.0L/100km. I leave it in the "I" mode, which is basically its version of eco. Definitely very impressed so far. I think the larger 2.5L engine ends up working a lot less hard at highway speeds, as it can hold 100km/h at around 1600 -1700rpm.
As for the list, great list, and picks. Only thing I would be cautious about is any Nissan, given their on-going reliability problems, mainly for the transmissions.
Is that on the car's computer or with you doing the math? Sometimes the computers are a bit optimistic.
@@jldkrank Good point - next trip I'll run the numbers and see how accurate or not it is. Given the tiny amount of fuel I'm having to add after trips, I don't think it's far off.
I have a nissan altima with 174,000 miles on it and still going strong. I stand by nissan. They are excellent cars. I've maintained it with oil changes, but I haven't had to do any major work to it. Zero reliability problems.
Reliability is key. One significant repair and all of your fuel savings are out the window.
So, no turbos and try to avoid CVTs, esp. non-Toyota CVTs. The latter advice might change, if they prove to be very reliable as the years and miles pile on. I'm very skeptical, esp. of any makers that do not recommend transmission fluid replacement intervals.
Why is That
@wholeNwon if you get some gas savings, but you need to replace transmission like in my 2x Acuras MDX and TL, then all the savings go out the window.
I am learning new info now, that I am on the hunt for a new used car. My Buick Lesabre, that I kept fixing and updating just got totalled and I am devastated😢
What does cvt mean? Sorry I know lil to nothing about car
My 2021 Impreza Hatch gets 25.1 MPG city. 36MPG highway.
You should really add a summary table
I sold my gas guzzling truck and bought a 3 cylinder 1.3 Lt car , did a little research , modified the air intake ,not what you think. I increased the air intake to 3in" diameter at the air box. Reset the inline computer , Now I get 45-50mpg highway. And I can prove it .
You forgot the Toyota Taco. 😂 thanks great video 👍🏽
My 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited gets terrific gas mileage. I get an average of about 35 mpg
Ford focus is also a very fuel efficient. I average about 30 mpg. They are also affordable and have cheap parts.
With restrictions on "Gas Only" cars looming, there will be no future Gas Only cars in our family fleet. The two 2020 Honda Civics will be replaced by a Toyota Corolla Hybrid, or Civic Hybrid. The 2016 Passat will be replaced by a Toyota C-HR Hybrid in 2 years. And the UX200 will be replaced way down the road by a full electric, right before the 2035 deadline.
(In BC, we will keep a Canadian Built car.)
There will never be a Kia, Hyundai, Nissan in our fleet...dangerously unreliable, IMHO.
Need this same list in hybrids
Already did it! ua-cam.com/video/H-K8SgT6oJ4/v-deo.html
Bro I can’t believe you recommend Nissan . We have two in the shop transmission problems with 28k miles.
What about the Toyota Yaris?
To put Mitsubishi Mirage on top you earned mi vote
Hi Shari, I just booked Bolt EUV 2023. But I am confused that I made right decision. Is cheverlot Bolt EUV is good car? I am going for finance for 7 years, please advise.
The EUV is a great car!!!
@@phileasler5401 thanks
I wouldn't buy anything from Government Motors of China. They sold out to China on tax payer's money.
BMW 730d gets 4,5L highway. New skodas gets down to 3,8L when hypermiling
Lexus NX 350H incredible. 5.7/100. Sadly, the 350H b/o is over a year
Just checking does gas = petroleum like soccer = football . Emgines need to be heated optimally for best economy. Agressive acceleration windows down and ac on full reduces figures.
Surprised you recommended the nissan Kicks. Is the reliability above average?
They have been pretty reliable since coming out in 2017. And for the price they are tough to beat.
What about Toyota Yaris Hybrid 3.3lts per 100.
I'm rented a Hyundai car, The build is cheep but I'm getting 5.1 average . Love the mpg but not the brand
I know the Camry has to be towards the top
toyotas are the best❤️
I didn’t see Toyota Prius on the list !!!!
Sienna considaring the size🤔
Toyota Camry or Subaru Impreza...which one is the best out of these two superb options?
Camry
Camry front wheel drive drive cautious in all weather & conditions & lacks confidence Impreza all wheel drive defines confidence & there's no substitutions to all wheel drive besides part time aka 4x4
What’s the price jesus
Hyundai's got all the best tech, mpg, warranty and price on the market- hands down.
Is 2018 Elantra a good car? I have a white one with 91k on the odometer
best engine replacement mechanics too !
Wheres the prius?
The Hondas 1.5 litre turbos were getting gas in the oil and burning off no way an engine can get 300k like that they've provided a software upgrade, but have not addressed the real problem Scotty Kilmer 1.5 ltr honda turbo trust scotty he'll tell you about any make madel even his love for toyota has limits certain years he'll say stay away except lexushaha
Remember Scotty Kilmer is also a hypocrite...facts !!!
I think you are too hard on Kia’s and Hyundais, they should be on the 10 best list
VW Golf Comfortliine outshine the competition. It looses o n high maintenance cost
Old data. The song has serious transmission problem
Great video, personally I would have picked the Toyota Corolla as number 1 pick. Reliability when it ages is where Toyota going to take the crown and Hondas will be in the puddle with dealing with rust issues, Turbo issues and electrical issues.
Prius owners watching this 👁️👄👁️
Why would you give an honorable mention to an unreliable car?
Keep in mind Manufacturers & EPA mpgs are rated at 55mph
Who the hell drives at 55mph ?
Californians drive at 80-85 mph !!!
Texas has a 85 mph maximum,
Texans speed at 90-100 mph consistently...
Honda Civic and Acura integra is way better than Toyota Corolla. The price the ride quality and the engines especially with a four cylinder engines like an civic and accord and Acura TLX and integra. And it’s efficient of gas
simply Drive Toyota camelry when struggling Mercedes when comfortable.
Camry has really lousy gas mileage. I have a 2015 Camry and it gets 22 Mi to the gallon
um 2023 Toyota Prius?!?!
Hybrid is the better option
*Best
Hybrid saves on gas prices but u end up paying a lot more on purchase anyways. No point being cheap after.
I'm holding out for the water power cars that are coming up big piece of crap
Where is prius 😂
You forgot to mention Nissan Altima and Sentra
Dude? You need to put the ptice on your videos! Just saying its affordable tells us nothing.
this video is absolute milquetoast
Nissan CVT sucks ass & well known to break down prematurely, aka under 60-70k
60-70k ???
