Hey, Mr. Wilson. 🙋♀️ What a major bummer about the weather. Fantastic "hack"! I love tips and tricks that are actually useful. Thanks for the heads-up.
I feel your pain! I’m in Orange County and this is the cloudiest it’s ever been that i can remember. I haven’t been able to shoot anything in over a month! 😩
Hasnt changed much this year XD have only been able to do it once this month and it seems to always be sunny clear during the day and then BOOM right at sundown here come the couds and sirrius.
The Canon 4Ti is the same as the Canon 650 which ZWO says is supported, so the 4Ti should be recognized by the ASIAIR Pro and Plus as well as the mini.
Perhaps there was a setting I didn't enable. Like the "pc remote" setting on the sony camera. I'll have to take another look at it... Thanks for the heads up 😊👍 it would be nice to get it working. I don't use that camera for much anymore. It would be nice to have a new purpose
I can't find a list of currently supported cameras. All the lists I find are outdated. I noticed in the ASI air app with the latest update that Sony cameras were now supported in the "what's new" list, so I decided to check it out and experiment, which led to this video with my findings. They are apparently continuing to add more cameras as they can. So not sure which, if any, non-zwo astronomy cameras are supported.
On my sony a7iii, there is a setting in the menu I must enable before it works. Do you know if there is something similar somewhere in the t4i menu I need to enable?
I followed the instructions and doesn’t seem to work for me. AAP recognizes the a7iv but iso setting shows n/a and i have no way to control the exposure time or shutter release. I have a usb 3 cable and a shutter release cable from amazon. Not sure where to go from here
I hear you. I have completely missed the beautiful clear winter skies. Except in California.

@jonssdafergtwve2606 same thing here! 😭
Not only does it easier to focus, ASIair can platesolve if your mount supports go-to.
Oh yeah! If you're using more equipment than just the camera, then the asi air is a dream come true. I love this thing 😍
may you use a EXP time of 0,01 s in the focus- mode on a brighter star ?

if you power it off the AA the camera turns off after every exposure…best to use camera battery ..no problem
We may have 360 days of sunshine per year in Southern California, but we don't have 365 days of sunshine WITHOUT CLOUDS. Do we?
Lol. Exactly.
Can you make videos of reviews of different telescopes? Because I want to know what telescope I could get

Do you think the asiair has been opened up to non zwo dedicated astro cams?

If not now, then probably eventually for sure. If the goal is sell units, then opening it up to a wider audience would be the right approach
Nice Video!!!!
Doesn't work with any Panasonic LUMIX cameras...
H my t4i works just fine on my air pro and my plus

Not a new trick, ASIAIR has supported DSLR for quite a while, I guess you learned a new trick

read the bible and pray the clouds to part to allow the astronomers to go through 🙂
