This song makes me sad because I can relate on a dark personal level where all the words just fit right in with how I feel and how I view with other people and myself. I’ve gotten so good at it I feel like an actress in a movie because I feel it’s all a act or a show I put on. It’s scary that someone put it in a song and it’s not swept under the carpet.

Hayley’s the only one that’s fake happy. Everyone else is happy. Out of my family and friends throughout my life, only a few seemed to pretend to be happy but I could tell they actually weren’t. My family and friends also tell me the same thing that they can tell their family and people they know are genuinely happy and only a few have tried to hide their sadness. I’m not saying everything’s happy all the time. Of course, there are times when they have a lot going on, get stressed, something unexpected happens or something happens that gets them depressed for a while like a breakup or loss of a loved one and experience hard times for a little while but they don’t hide their emotions and talk to others for help and manage to get thru it. For the most part, they have good jobs, are living comfortably financially, have either accomplished their goals or in the process of accomplishing them, and have good relationships with their family and friends.

At best, about half of the people they call friends will no longer be considered such. At worst, a few will recognize the forced positivity for the mental oppression that it is, and kill the people who used it to make life even more of a hopeless living hell.
