I am pretty sure the reason it was the revival to be reimagined and if they were too scared to do it in a different version, it would not have been out there. So many reasons people don't love the revivals but copying is probably not the real reason.

Her version is more believable than Audrey Landers' "Val" from the movie, but Ms. Landers looked better.
