You put the same aesthetic quality into your tools as you do the art you create with them. I’m the exact same way. I find the care and respect I put into my workspace translates into the art itself.
Thank you! I really enjoy all aspects of what I do here so I guess I might get a little carried away. I actually set out to make like a 5 minute video and it turned into 17 minutes instead- but I feel like it’s all important like, I’m not trying to fluff anything. I just put myself in someone’s shoes who is new to this. But yes, I do enjoy all of it so much since the whole thing is visual. Thanks for watching!
@@SculptureGeek You're not getting carried away. You're passion and dedication to quality is exactly what makes you a great artist and an inspiration to others. Never change that.
Lol thank you! Yeah guitar strings work great. Just make sure to get the ones that are metal on the inside as well because they also one in nylon which would work fine, unless you’re working in a material that requires heat. Hardened steel, piano or music wire also works but more for regular loops to burnish with or to sharpen up and make really good scraping style loops. Thanks for watching :)
@@SculptureGeek Oh yea I see!! I work on polymer clay so nylon strings may not be a problem for me ! Thank you so much that's so much useful you have no idea ! (btw nice pixel art intro, loved it !!)
Aww thanks man! I try not to take it personally tho. I think it’s just people that have no interest in making a sculpting tool- but you have to wonder why they bothered to click on the video then :/
I'm making a tool similar to that and using it to make my 1:6 scale sculpture. I'll make the last thing you showed me because I didn't know. Thank you. :)
Awesome! Yes there are a bunch of variations of texture tools and an infinite amount of useful shapes that work well. Looking back, I probably should have included more examples but I use this one tool all the time so I’ll leave it up to people to experiment. That’s half the fun, anyway. Thanks for watching :)
