Perfect video! I have Autism and thunderstorm videos help me to relax and provide positive sensory input. This is a very very good video! No shaking, any movement is kept to a minimum and you can tell you tried to be smooth with the movement as well. Also, no talking! THIS is how a thunderstorm should be recorded!!! Thank you!!

OUTSTANDING video!! That was quite a storm!! I coulda sworn I saw a funnel cloud hanging down in the earlier part of the vid, but I guess the siren would've gone off if it had been one. 🤔
I also have always enjoyed a good afternoon thunderboomer. Here in coastal SE North Carolina we get single cell afternoon and evening thunderstorms and occasionally get awakened after midnight or later from same. Only in the last few years via the internet have I seen the supercell thunderstorms. I can t imagine hearing thunder in the distance and gradually getting closer then seeing one with a leading shelf cloud and followed by Hell in the sky as they look. We do get small supercells in winter months embedded in squall lines that move rapidly usually Northeasterly. Luckily we seldom have tornadoes but some are always spawned during hurricanes that we unfortunately are familiar with. As we enter another tornado season, I d like to wish all living in areas affected a safe and quiet season.
Nice cam work!! I did notice a possible funnel dropping at the "11:50" mark in the video. Loved the footage. Glad your ok though ...lol! Looked kind of scary.
I like to record thunderstorms I also like to record thunderstorms with lightning strikes on the radio waves and I wanna get four hours of video of lightning static on radio with thunder in the background I tried to take that and I am totally blind and autistic I really like your videos they’re not fake turn up put on it’s a real pure video and I think I highly rate your video as a team
Those were some powerful storms that came through. There was a lot of tree damage around here (SW of Iowa City) and a few small sheds were destroyed. Heard reports of 80+mph winds.
I agree, these storms were packing a punch last night. Williamsburg also had 70 to 80 MPH wind gusts and I saw some of the damage on Twitter. Here in Bettendorf, it was mostly wind and a lot of lightning. One of the light bulbs on my fan blew out because of the lightning.
I think the thunderstorm was very nice and relaxing and quiet but you could hear the hail hit the window and I swear there was going to be a tornado but there was none and there was no thunder which was disappointing but the video was very relaxing anyhow The thunderstorm is awesome but I’d like to get more of your videos but I cannot just subscribe to the video hope you enjoyed what you did because I like to record storms I’m a storm fanatic I don’t know what that jingling is but I like to know what it was all about but if you can see when it is of the video that be quite interesting and totally blind and artistic I enjoy your videos
With the ferocity of that storm, I would think thunder would be heard. Your double pane window was deadening the sound alot. Heat lightning is something seen on the horizon on a hot night when the storm is too far away to hear the thunder.
@@pauljames5914 What I am trying to say is that we did have some heat lightning. You are correct about the window because it was a little difficult to hear the thunder.

I also have autism (high functioning). Thunderstorms are my favorite weather type especially at night. They are like mother nature's symphony!

Don’t be certain that the authorities would even be aware that a tornado was even happening.

That wasn't snow, it was the light that made the rain look like it was snow.

All that lightning and no thunder?.doesn't make.sense.
This is often referred to as heat lightning. This is just like lightning as usual, but the thunder is too far away to be heard.
With the ferocity of that storm, I would think thunder would be heard. Your double pane window was deadening the sound alot. Heat lightning is something seen on the horizon on a hot night when the storm is too far away to hear the thunder.

I can assure you that it did not snow. You probably saw the light reflecting off the rain.
