Can you offer any suggestions about where to purchse these windows? Is it worth it to buy new, or take a risk on something that was previously installed in order to save money?
Thanks so much for showing the removal of those support thingys...was sure about putting in the horizontal windows but that totally helps to see what's not anything to worry about...looking forward to more build videos from you young man excellent m.o. 👍
oh man, i almost installed the window upside down because the manufacturers sticker was on upside down! I noticed the wheep holes were on top and came here to double check that i had it wrong :)
Love the video. Question for you though. How come you didn't install a window trim? I have been watching multiple videos and it seems that people are doing either on this.
Have you noticed any window rattle when you drive after install? I just installed a similar window and noticed that the walls rattle a little now when driving. Is this normal?
@@JasonKlunk it's not framed yet. I kinda thought that might be the case. Do you recommend bonding a window box frame to the sheet metal? I am planning on putting in the wall studs for other things but that wont help in this case I guess.
Jason, it seems that these windows have a leaking problem! Do you agree? I’m planning an installation by professionals installer. What is the part number of the window ? The dimension?
Question: can that slider window fit in the top portion above that divider line? I’m thinking I’d rather put one up there closer to the roof line in my kitchen area so light can hit my starter 🌱 s. Just wondering if there is enough clearance(?).
It's so that I could set the template onto the window and have it be completely flush. Otherwise, the handle for the slider gets in the way. For example, if you go to 2:57 and pause, I could set the template on the window while it's laying flat like that.
Hey Jason, Love your vids pal, a lot of the work Ive done on my van (2019 Peugeot Boxer) have followed your methods so really appreciate your videos.. I have a question regards your CRLawrence window glass. CR Lawrence Australia are saying its discontinued as it doesn’t fit my van but the measurements appear to match exactly. Could I ask if you wouldn’t mind measuring your glass and letting me know what it is (in MM) as I’m desperate to get a window and really want one of these. Thank you mate.. Dave
Jason, I am about to install two of these myself. Good work! I noticed you applying what looked like a Rust protection layer wonderful. Something I did not see was an application of any of the three products mentioned on the WARNING sticker of the window. Have you had any issues down the line? Especially from not applying a urethane adhesive or any kind of sealant? I just got done installing a maxairre fan using a lap sealant to keep water out, and now it feels strange to not apply any sort of sealant to these windows upon install. Your thoughts on this?
It was not recommended by the manufacturer when I installed them, that could have changed. Are you installing the same windows or a different brand? I haven’t had any issues and the van up-fitter that I know does not use any sealants either.
Two quick questions, [1] how exact / tight was your template trace and [2] did you use butyl tape to seal? Your videos are perfect, thanks for sharing your build!
Hi Jason. Thanks for this video. I have the same windows and I am planning to install them soon. I saw 2 other videos where they mentioned that not all of the screw holes were predrilled, but you didn't seem to have an issue. I am a little confused by this step. Did you just drill right through the frame and the van together?
We’ve been loving your videos! Super helpful. Did you use 2 driver’s side windows or did you purchase the specific passenger side? We can’t find the passenger version anywhere and wondering if 2 drivers side would work.
Anna Stine thanks! Don’t use two drivers side windows, the slider will be going the wrong direction. Google VW1033R, there are a few places to order from.
If you have the CR Laurence Universal windows, do you notice any water pooling in the bottom if you spray directly into the slider?
Can you offer any suggestions about where to purchse these windows? Is it worth it to buy new, or take a risk on something that was previously installed in order to save money?
yes, its dumb
@@BeastModeNow lol, glad I’m not the only one then
Awesome job bro! Helpful video! What windows are those and where did you order them?
Thanks. You can order them from amazon, links are in the description.

Glad it helped!
Thank you! I was trying to figure out if I need to remove the cross support or not.
Glad I could help
Are there any pull down shades for these windows. I have magnetic covers but they are hard put up with the bug screen on the door.
Windows look good
thanks
Sweet dude.....looking great! Good info all around. 👍
Thanks!
Those windows don’t open up all the way do they? Like if I have a dog a d he wants to pop his head out?
You can pop the screen out pretty easily if you want them to.
thankyou for the info in the description. man i wish amazon had them in stock right now though :/
No worries. bummer, yeah I think stock is low everywhere right now
thanks for the video! about to install one of these this weekend
Noice, you got it!

nice catch!
sick video mate x
thank you! 🤙
Love the video. Question for you though. How come you didn't install a window trim? I have been watching multiple videos and it seems that people are doing either on this.
What do you mean by window trim? I'm framing it out later when I panel the walls.
@@JasonKlunk its a wooden ring that goes inside the van that apparently helps it clamp inside
@@JasonKlunk so how is the clamp with just going into the sheet metal?
those don't help with the installation, it's purely cosmetic.
so, installing the windows, you don't need any butyl tape? you just pop the window in, then there's a frame gasket thing you put in from the inside?
Right, butyl tape wasn't recommended by the manufacturer for these windows.
Have you noticed any window rattle when you drive after install? I just installed a similar window and noticed that the walls rattle a little now when driving. Is this normal?
Hey, do you have any framing around it or anything yet? Or is it just the window in the sheet metal?
@@JasonKlunk it's not framed yet. I kinda thought that might be the case. Do you recommend bonding a window box frame to the sheet metal? I am planning on putting in the wall studs for other things but that wont help in this case I guess.
Great video, Jason! Do you happen to have a link for your sliding door window? Thanks!
I got mine from Panther RV, but it looks like they are out of stock.
Jason, it seems that these windows have a leaking problem! Do you agree?
I’m planning an installation by professionals installer. What is the part number of the window ? The dimension?
VW1033L and VW1033R
Did you consider putting Buytle tape on the window as well - on the outside as an extra water layer defense?
You could do that, but it's not necessary or recommended by the manufacturer.
Question: can that slider window fit in the top portion above that divider line? I’m thinking I’d rather put one up there closer to the roof line in my kitchen area so light can hit my starter 🌱 s. Just wondering if there is enough clearance(?).
No, I don't think they will fit in that spot.
What was the little square hole in the center of the template for? Great video!!!

I see that the windows come in several different width sizes. May I ask which model you selected? Thanks much.

Hey - I actually mention this at the end of my video as well. You should definitely pre-drill the holes or you'll risk stripping the screws.
