Heck yeah loving this ruck makes me miss my more stock ruckus before the 232cc 4v Liquid Cooled which is good and all but somthing about just chilling riding down the back roads with no where to go except exploring wherever whenever
At this time my GET was 58cc big bore with a cam and ported head. Thing did 55-60 all day long, but then dropped a valve maybe 1500 miles later. I’m back to 49cc ported head and stock carb. Planning on going EFI this spring. I’ve put 8000 miles on the Ruck in 2 years haha, talk about exploring 😂
Green with brown seat looks so sweet. I've wrenched far more than I have rode my 2020, been a real pain, hopefully valve shims fix it, changed everything else outside the motor, I put the kicker back on and put the trs cover in the box, I want to have the backup!
Green Ruck is 58cc, JC Racing cam, 20mm slide carb, ported head, lightweight flywheel, reveno clutch, CDI, Ect. I’ve only had issues after a while with the cam. I kept losing compression. Found out the more aggressive cam was wearing out Valve Guides. Otherwise before the big bore and cam, I rode the bike 5000 miles in a year with no issues, aside from going through 2 CDI’s.
I didn’t know other states have horrible gas pumps like CA. I thought it was only us. Always nice to go to OR or AZ where you don’t have to screw with the nozzle to get it to flow
@@EastCoastRucks yeah I’m used to the pumps. Sucks that it’s a two hand game. Lol. That’s another thing, in Oregon they pump your own gas as well but the law specifically excludes bikes. Kinda sucks you guys don’t have a specific exemption. I can imagine a rogue attendant getting all sensitive and insisting they touch your bike. When I rode to Oregon they were giving me funny looks as if I was in their space lol but there was nothing they could do about it
So far no weird attendants insisting. They all seem to know you don’t touch another persons bike. Most could care less and would rather you fill yourself haha. Can’t argue with that mindset
@@EastCoastRucks omg!!! do NOT run 93 Octane bro!!! anything that has a CARBURATOR needs to run on Non-Ethanol Gasoline. if you cant find around your area, use the gasoline with LESS octane possible. 86Octane i think its the lowest BUT I STILL DONT RECOMMEND it... on Fuel Injected engines its okay to run whatever gas you'd like. but NOT on a Honda Ruckus!
@@CabezaDePistacho You do not "Need" to run non-ethanol gasoline in all carbureted engines. In fact, most carbureted motorcycles do not even say to run non-ethanol. Most bikes will tell you to run anything under 15% ethanol. Which is fine. Of course, non-ethanol is better for your fuel lines so they don't gum up, but it is not required. For example, I run 89-91 7% ethanol in my 224cc mini bike and it runs perfect. In fact, the engine specifies I can use up to 10% ethanol gas.
So my set up was 58cc, reveno clutch, NCY variator +drive face, Daytona belt, 20mm slide carb, ported head, cam, NCY CDI. She was seeing 55-60mph all day long.
@@EastCoastRucks I just put in the NCY CDI and I'm about to do the Polini varistor and weights next, then the stage 2 RuckShop intake, exhaust and jet. Thinking about the full stage 5 big bore engine swap eventually.
@@alexiezachariades4872 The 58cc big bore is great and gets speeds around 57-58MPH. But it is not a reliable set up, along with difficult to find a place to bore the engine crank case. The CDI is key, then do the intake/ carb upgrades, and NCY has a better variator that is more light than Polini.
@@EastCoastRucks I've already got a Rebel 1100 coming this Thursday, at the moment I don't want to spend any more money on the ruckus because I know the 1100 is going to need some accessories

I did a 130 mile one way trip only filled the tank 1 time each way.
That’s impressive. We usually get a little more than 100 miles on a tank. Even with mine being 58cc, big carb, and cam.
Color is awesome
I rode my Riki’s to work earlier it was fun

Yes it’s kinda annoying but you get used to it. In NJ we technically can’t pump our own gas. But since we’re on bikes the attendants don’t bother lol

bro. dont run just any gasoline on the ruckus.. you need to use NON-ETHANOL gasoline.
Very true, good point. We gotta be more strict with the fuel. We only run 93octane tho. Who has non ethanol gas? Sunoco or shell?

Wawa has non-eth fuel ⛽
Ethanol gas isn’t a problem if it doesn’t sit. Let it sit a couple months though and you’re risking a plugged up carb.
Who else looks at bike's passing when filling up fuel
What kind of speed are y’all getting from that 58cc setup?

Dope ride and the chipmunk effect was it for me.
Any one know how much is insurance on one of those
anywhere from $80-180 a year
where did your friend got the extension seat? tnx
It came with the Ruckus when he bought it. I’m pretty sure it’s a luggage rack that doubles as a seat too
@@EastCoastRucks oh nice thanks. keep scooting
what happened to your electric start?
Since I’ve been on a light weight flywheel the electric start doesn’t turn the bike over enough.
How well does it do on hills
Not too bad, the 58cc big bore really gives it the low end to power through it
I be out in mine in that road
Message me on my Instagram, we should meet up for a ride! @meister_thecorgi
