- More, more,more people from Michigan! LOL! Here we have DeBarge (from Grand Rapids, MI, by way of Detroit). Bunny, Mark, Randy, EL and James all very talented individually and collectively they were tremendous!
Give a listen to them sing and perform there smash hit "Rhythm of the Night" from the 1985 Berry Gordy film "The Last Dragon"! A special shout out to Miss Etterlene aka "Mama DeBarge"!

He moves a little like Maurice White from Earth Wind & Fire as well as His older Brother Bobby.

You're lying... you can find them if you search on UA-cam "El DeBarge live"... The only live videos where he is not singing live are his tv appearances on american bandstand (with the group DeBarge) and soul train (with the group Debarge in the 1980s and on 1992 solo).
In all of his live videos on youtube he's actually singing live (except his "live" performances on American bandstand and soul train), all his concerts, and live tv performances like Arsenio 1989 "somebody loves you", Jerry lewis telethon 1986 100% live singing "love always".
1985 "Rhythm of the night" from the concert tv special "motown returns to the apollo" is 100% live singing.
El's live performance on BET music awards 2010 and 2017(a tribute to George Michael).
El debarge 1993 live (Cannes, France) at the marvin gaye tribute concert, singing Marvin's "after the dance".
DeBarge's (the group, 1982-1985) performances on soul train or American bandstand are all lipsynched, ALL artists lipsynched (and their band pretends to be playing their instruments) on those tv shows, even Prince, Prince lipsynched on American bandstand in 1980 and on soul train in 1994.
There's a live (no lipsynch) performance of who's holding donna now(1985), El is singing by himself, it's just El on stage, dressed in white with a silver sheriff star on his chest. Look up "El DeBarge live" they're all 100% live performances. All his concerts are 100% live. His concerts from 1996-2020 are all on UA-cam.
