I definitely don't blame you. I really wish Five Below didn't stop selling karaoke mics (proper ones, not those Bluetooth speaker combo things). A decent cheapo karaoke mic can deliver amazing quality if used correctly.
The only proper use for this mic, especially now that Five Below has a decent USB mic kit with a tripod, shock mount, and pop filter for the same price.

Yes and no. I agree that the static is from the gain being boosted too much, but not PC side. As far as I can tell the gain is also being boosted by a setting in the mic's firmware. I have a couple of similarly priced USB gooseneck mics, and at max gain they record my voice at a comparable level (if not louder) while the device noise is 20+ db quiter.
I literally bought this just to talk to my teammates while streaming to have one other than my more professional mic and it literally makes me sound like a robot... like you can’t even make out what I’m saying

The mic sounds good but the background noise is really annoying its better just to get the headset with the mic cause it doesn't have that background noise
the problom is the led i have one open it up and dis connect the leds and the static is gone it is because the power going in to the mic leds is too much and causes static try that
I use the headset holder and mousepad and mouse all the time at work. Getting a replacement for the pad today because someone at work spilled coke on mine. Honestly better mousepad than the $50 one. So I can forgive the mic for being a weak link.
Fortunately Five Below made up for it with both the Pulse mic from PrimeConnect and their own brand USB mic that comes with a lot of useful accessories.
I got one for my birthday the year before last. It's sound quality is horrible (for me anyways), and it makes a constant buzzing/beeping noise! Personally, don't reccomend. Get a $20 headset instead.
If this is better than the Astro A50 mic then wow that mic must sound like you are talking with a helicopter right next to you while running because this mic is *NOT* good imo
Yep. My low light shot showing off the LEDs was wonky, so I waited until it was actually dark out to reshoot it. I definitely need blackout curtains in my recording area.

True, but there are better mics out there for the same price or less. I just picked up two of them for future videos.
The static is due to the gain. It’s for the pc so just optimize the mic then use software to fix volume
