The best shawarma in Ottawa... is at the Garlic King, trust me. Shawarma Palace goes pretty far but the guy that owns the place is highly respected, and he has become quite popular down here. He also goes around the annual Christmas parade in Orléans. The food is fantastic. The meat is juicy, not dry. Garlic sauce is amazing, there is SPICE. Everything is fresh and he'll most likely come over and talk to you.

I'm from Mississauga but moved to Ottawa for a bit and heard all the hype about Ottawa shawarma and was deeply disappointed. I will say one thing though, from shawarma palace get the beef, it's surprisingly good, a lot of other places get it wrong.

Furious Pete went to some donut place in Mississuaga called Bomb Zalabya and I wanted to see a 2nd opinion on this. He said it was the best deserts he's had by far. Never tried them, from nyc. Hope you go check it out!

I have been to that exact shawarma location and agree that it is not the best shawarma but not bad but if you were to stay in Ottowa GoldenGully drive a litlle more beside it you would pass by my family and my favourite Shawarma spot called Shawarma station.Hope you can visit agin in my home city.
