Somethingi noticed with my cameras is that depending on the lens and stabilization focus parameters milesge variated a lot
Hmm... I didn't think about focusing, AF vs MF, etc. There are so many variables 🤬
man im confused , I just seen a video of someone doing the same settings be indoors and the camera only lasted 43 mins until it over heated like wtf
Thanks for all of your efforts. Any chance you would test in 8 bit. Just curious what that would do to record time. I shoot sports highlights so I would be willing to sacrifice 10-bit to have 4k 60, especially if S-Cinetone is available in 8-bit.
Yeah, I did an indoor test in XAVC-S, 8-bit, 60 mbps and it ran for the entire duration of a full battery. No overhear warning or anything. I’m including that in an upcoming video
That's more better 😊
This thing overheats. I just got mine and it’s a problem. You are either getting paid to say that, or you haven’t really tested it thoroughly. Check other recent reviewers 👍
I'm testing it out in different scenarios and sharing what's happening. This is one scenario. I'm being as explicit as possible as far as the conditions and settings of the camera. Who would pay me?
I just imagine it's from testing 4k24 not 4k60. I think most reviewers have been bringing up the overheating issues with 4k60, 4k24 seems to chug along just fine
Lol yes because he got different results than you it means he's getting paid.
Yeah I just finished a professional shoot with mine. 10 - 4am. Didn’t even get hot Lol (on and off pic and loooots of video 4k - 24)
As a fellow owner of the A6700, I’ve yet to overheat mine - I record long format videos on it regularly and have never had an issue. Granted: I work indoors exclusively, but based on this test here I wouldn’t be concerned about doing a similar recording outdoors either.
Well you've made me feel a lot more confident. I just picked one of these up and only found out about the overheating after I ordered it. If I'm getting even an hour in that temp then I think I'm good.
Cool. There are so many variables. I'm just trying to test it in scenarios that I would actually do and see how it performs. A lot of it is common sense. It's packing a lot of features and capabilities in a small body so adjust expectations accordingly
Yea without a doubt, I live in TX and we are dealing with 100-110 degree weather at the moment. I plan on doing some personal tests as well to see what performance looks like in those temps lol. I'm curious if the people having really poor performance just received lemons. I saw a video of it overheating in doors at 75 degrees fahrenheit after 40 minutes 25fps 10bit 4:2:2.@@PhillipRPeck Video : ua-cam.com/users/shortsz5Jn7vpitD8
