Hello Mam, There is a little correction- ADG are appointed after 25 year of service in State cadre and ADG is post below DG & above IG. AND in centre it is mainly appointed after 28-30 year of service Like central police force have - DGP, Special DG ,ADG, IG , DIG likewise. In smaller states like North eastern states , ADG equivalent of central is posted as DGP .
One thing I want to add 4:57 ... In IPS there is no DSP rank,,,, The rank is ASP (Asst.SP) in 3rd year also with 3 stars (without Strips), First two years they called as ASP (under training) and in 3rd year they posted as ASP (or ACP in Commissionerates). DSP rank is only used in PPS and is junior to ASP( Asst.SP). Btw very nice explanation.

It's true but bro according to me that list is not right in the order of power because I was expecting Cabinet secretary at higher level but even he was at 11 rank and so many ranks was not in right order

Even during probation they are posted as SDPO. SDPO is a post either given to any DSP or ASP. But IPS can never be in DSP rank. It is for state police service officers.
CORRECTION: Comissioner of Police is not always an officer of DGP rank, It's based on population of city. For eg. CP of Nashik city is a IGP level officer while that of CP of Mumbai is a DGP level officer.

4:56 this is not right. An IPS never becomes DSP. It is only for state police service officers.
Mam say DSP is in training period not after allocation of an IPS.
It is matter of state that they can give DSP post to an IPS officer.
