I really like how he makes references to whomever he gets some of the ideas from. That's fair attitude but I' ve rarely seen anybody do it.
This is how I think my sit up guard looks. Everything he does looks so simple, his instructionals are some of the best. One of the better jiu jitsu technique communicators on UA-cam.
i get such a huge smile every time i watch these videos. uncontrollable grin. got my front tooth knocked out from an upkick, so it's a mangy grin... and i still don't care. i'm smilin'.

One of the best vidoes and explanations I’ve seen on coming up and wrestling, this is stuff I’ve been working on as well for years ( in practice, I’ve yet to pull guard in a competition, lol )

Would this work with the end of the belt grip instead of lapel I wonder, obviously not as strong in terms of breaking their posture, but sometimes grabbing whats available when sitting up is the only option.

what does the term "wrestle up" mean in Jiu Jitsu ? to a pure wrestler it sounds like wrestling up a weight class and looks like guard play.
Wrestling up means going from bottom position into a scramble or up to standing in order to wrestle
Prety sure he's referring to that quasi dog fight position.
