Galileo Gaming In character-wise, i have mixed feelings. On one hand, the Tash-Murkon used TCMC (a type of obedience chip) to ensure obedience in their slaves rather than, you know, putting in the effort to 'reclaim' the slaves. On the other hand, having a Tash-Murkon (who have Udorian ancestry) as Empress spits right in the eyes of the pure True Amarr and knock their Avatar-class ego down a peg or two.
Just imagine the Amarr Imperial Fleet landing on a devastated Minmatar Prime...the ultimate dream of any Amarrian proponent of the Second Reclaiming...
Ya, I love that about the Minmatar. The Amarrians have a super-weapon, and the Minmatar have a group of ultra-secret Elders who can amass fleets to rival any of the Empires without anyone being the wiser. The Amarrians can't find them to save their life, the Gallente, who arguably have the last word in espionage, can't find anything about them other than some vague financial records, and the Caldari are so dysfunctional one of their largest Mega corps is on the verge of secession.
As an addition to what Dheeradj said, after she was cloned illegally due to her death in the Amarr Sucession trials, she was never the same. The graceful, strong, and powerful figure that was the apex of the Amarrian figure became nothing more than a mess. She developed a deep paranoia and was quite tyrannical seeking to kill all those who stood in her way, which was what she did to the Thukker/Elder armada.
My main is Minmatar, and in the novels Sarum pretty much states that she hated being an Heir, and she hated the slavery in the Empire. Lord Falek Grange, infected her with a Vitoc strain that made her into the cruel ****I she is now. The original is still there, sometimes regaining control, but she is for intends and purposes a slave herself. When she became Empress, she wanted to free the Matari, but Grange turned that around by only freeing those who were indocirated by the Amar religion.
@Cyric1983 I just finished it myself. Amazing book and I second your reccomindation! Come to think of it, its hard to figure out if the book is based off the expansion, or vice versa.
@holo4ever No, basically what she said was whatever you do unto the Empire shall be done unto you. You support the Empire? She'll support you. You seek to destroy the Empire? She'll bring Hell raining down upon you.
I'm almost half way through that book, and I am quite impressed with it. I thought it would just be a piece of fan-service but I was wrong. I would even recommend it to anybody that knows nothing about EVE-Online.
Amarr and Caldari are allies. But the Caldai would win if they managed to hit hard enough in the first blow. The Caldari navy is the most modernized and advanced of the 4 empires and has the ability to beat any other navy in a stand up fight. The amarr would win if they were able to withstand the first attack and turn it into a protracted war.
@Ultimabong Wasn't the modified Abaddond estroyed during the Seyllin Incident? I don't think that it survived the Isogen-5 explosion and the radiation wave emitetd by Seyllin.
They tried that once. The Jamyl Sarum showed up with Terran superweapon and made their shields implode and tear their ships apart. Now the Minmatar are a bit cautious about pulling that off again. And of course, there's the problem with Concord glaring at both sides of their borders.
isnt that the same fleet in that other trailer where the abbaddon launches some sort of terran weapon at a gallentine fleet i think and destroys it with a single shot?
@outlawstar15a2 What if I wanted to reform the Amarr empire so that it was more like the iImperium of Man from Warhammer 40K, while placing her within the role of the Godemperor of mankind (also making heavily augmented rich Amarians and Amarr capsulars look like the Adeptus mechanics)? XD
@darthkarr As of the upcoming expansion, not yet. Tyrannis will only give capsuleers the ability to set up harvesting and processing facilities on planets in the systems they have conquered. Might happen in Dust 514 though...I also remember CCP's teaser showing ships descending into the atmosphere of a planet and interacting with it, but I don't know if they are still working on it though...
the Amarr got their beat down really badly when they tried to fight a small Jovian Fleet but failed miserably in the Jove-Amarr War. The Amarrians sent large fleet to enslave the Jovians(BIG mistake), but the Jovians managed to get a small fleet to wipe out a entire fleet of Amarrian warships, but excluding the Jovians, the Amarrians are unbeatable
I have a question, having read alot in the background of EVE, i have come to wonder, for in the scritpures it says of a time when the EVE gate shall once again open and bring upon mayhem and destruction, has this happened yet or is this still considered a myth??
@Roobster88 The amarr navy is the largest in the known universe, so it seems only logical. Then again, a lot of their ships are in poor repair, maybe as a desperate attempt to uphold their policy of having (I think) a navy three times the size of any other navy in existence.
Ah, I read it. She doesnt die, she just gets incredibly weak. Turns out, the thing that posessed her took 2 months to take hold, and that was during her Cloning. But really, the thing seems alot more like a Devil than an Angel or any kind of God. When she snaps out, she's scared of it because it's alot more cruel than she ever was. Makes me thankful I'm Khanid >_>
i think that's deep...if you give them trouble you're in trouble too, and if you give them peace then you're okay i didnt say it the right way, but yeah
Those of you who had read the novel "Empyrean Age" by Tony Gonzales will know that she is more than human right now. She can read minds, maybe even create feelings of pain or emotion in her victims. Crazy bitch..
If you're happy and you know it POD Amarr! If you cannot find Caldari POD Amarr! If the Minnies are too frisky and Gallenteans too shifty, and the Jovians too risky POD Amarr!
Actually, she sees herself naked in the mirror in the novel. The thing that posessed her gave her alot of muscle, and she even felt so proud as to walk naked in front of her royal guards. ..Although, they'd dare not look. She can kill in mroe ways that one, remember? :P
After 15 years I still get chills when I hear her voice, her fate was so sad, but glorius..
"What you give to this Empire, I shall give back unto you." I'm still waiting for the milkshake. . .
" I am The Harbinger of hope. I am the sword of the righteous."
That Empress really does have a massive ego
Dude, she literally OWNS the largest empire in the galaxy. That ego is beyond warranted. She is literally a fucking god.
i dunno why...but her speech give me shiver...
Rip Empress Jamyl Sarum I 22.8.2015
+seilsbusters your profile pic was perfect for this comment
Rest in Peace.
Hope that Empress Catiz I will have an epic coronation speech to match Jamyl's.
Punishthefalse
I just hope she doesn't get own-zoned by a drifter doomsday clusterfuck. That would suck.
I really like this one.

Long life to the Empress Jamyl! May she fly safe and reign over us with great justice!

And 12 years later, we finally have fleet formations. Overdue much?
Still love this one. The best! I miss this story arc so much.
This video actually gave me chills. Awesome.
whats with all these caldari hating on amarr?
youre truly our greatest ally.
Thanks lol
Just imagine the Amarr Imperial Fleet landing on a devastated Minmatar Prime...the ultimate dream of any Amarrian proponent of the Second Reclaiming...
Nah. Rather when the glorious Amarr Empire drives the last Goon out of Delve.

Nowadays we know that when she was cloned another entity went into her, theory is that it was drifter or some sort of sleeper ai construct
Soundtrack is called "infidel" from Full Tilt's album "Machine Force".
Thank you!
That gave me the chills. Seriously.
Long live Empress Jamyl!
This would make TV trailers kick ass, :) +10 for you
Nice Speech... *Amarr noises intensifies*
What you give to this Empire, I shall give back unto you!
Unless you are a Drifter...
@Jfaz123 i play Caldari but i LOVE the Amarr Empress! im glad for the connections Caldari and Amarr share... its proffitable :)
Jesus! 13 years

REST IN PIECES
@holo4ever No, basically what she said was whatever you do unto the Empire shall be done unto you. You support the Empire? She'll support you. You seek to destroy the Empire? She'll bring Hell raining down upon you.
Amarr and Minmatar are my fav pvp races
This is my favorite game.....and i've never even played it!
Lol
@173muppet She merely made a simple decree. Which is common at coronations.
Well, she's not to be underestimated. That's for certain...
When do we capsuleers get to play with the Old Terra tecnology fitted to her ship?
No, the old scorpion model. They updated it a bit ago to the one you see now.
All hail Empress Jamyl!!
The use of the word I is very telling. Damn, and I'm Amarr... :)
I'm almost half way through that book, and I am quite impressed with it. I thought it would just be a piece of fan-service but I was wrong. I would even recommend it to anybody that knows nothing about EVE-Online.
What did you read?
All hail the Glorious Amarr Pope MrIllusiveVonCerburus!
i thought i heard Barry in there some where, I'm am the harbinger of hope "lets not forget about change we all need a little change"
Amarr and Caldari are allies. But the Caldai would win if they managed to hit hard enough in the first blow. The Caldari navy is the most modernized and advanced of the 4 empires and has the ability to beat any other navy in a stand up fight.

@kenmordeno wonder if that would be posible now theyve finall announced planet stuff....
Plus her Abbadon (plus her 12 royal Paladins in Armageddons) screw an Elder fleet in Sarum Prime.
The ones which used the opportunity presented by the Amarr-Jove war to rebel?
D:
This was the first moving picture with sound of eve i've seen
Down with Jamyl!
@MrNintoku huh? whats a "harvenger"? the word she used to describe herself was "harbinger".
Wohoo, Amarr all the way \0/
found this on the timeline site. one of few ccp eve videos I haven't seen o_o
Amarr rules!!!!
Эх, были времена...
я тож скучаю по тем временам, имхо мне до 12го было в кайф, потом всё.... иногда логинюсь, но так...
@Ultimabong

isnt that the same fleet in that other trailer where the abbaddon launches some sort of terran weapon at a gallentine fleet i think and destroys it with a single shot?
This bares a striking resemblance to the Inauguration of Emperor Mengsk from StarCraft XD
XD
@holo4ever So the Empress is the original Cally?
:( it's been removed. hope it's back up soon.
"Like, all I want is world peace and a really fast car!"
What is the book exactly called?
This whole trailer is basically a glorified jita scam xD
But she didn't say to give back double!
@darthkarr As of the upcoming expansion, not yet. Tyrannis will only give capsuleers the ability to set up harvesting and processing facilities on planets in the systems they have conquered.

And the Minmatar sometimes as well.
where is the HD?
wow....lots...of...amarr ships...
How did that go for you btw?
Can someone tell me if the Empress is playable in any EVE game or Dust 514?
Amarr Victor ! CVA Winner!
I have a question, having read alot in the background of EVE, i have come to wonder, for in the scritpures it says of a time when the EVE gate shall once again open and bring upon mayhem and destruction, has this happened yet or is this still considered a myth??
@DantoraMandova dont forget the ducktape
just relised this is the guy that does some of the dawn of war speeches lol
so that means that if I give the empire any amount of ISK, she'll double it back?
@Roobster88 The amarr navy is the largest in the known universe, so it seems only logical. Then again, a lot of their ships are in poor repair, maybe as a desperate attempt to uphold their policy of having (I think) a navy three times the size of any other navy in existence.
Anyone notice that even in the videos, the Amarr don't use the Armageddon?
I'll correct myself. He sounds like Fleet Command from Cataclysm.
Damn right
Nice
Mother of God, all those titans.
Ah, I read it.
She doesnt die, she just gets incredibly weak.
Turns out, the thing that posessed her took 2 months to take hold, and that was during her Cloning.
But really, the thing seems alot more like a Devil than an Angel or any kind of God.

Makes me thankful I'm Khanid >_>
What did you read?
yea i do remember thats why is said it
And what makes you think she doesn't? she is Empress after all :}
She was so hyped up on drugs at her coronation it lol.
You can read about it in Templar One
apparently her stats are maxed out. a dev allegedly used her. would be boss
Flying Minmatar is like strapping yourself to an office chair with an uzi, and getting pushed down a flight of stairs.
i think those were Aeons, motherships
To their machines, we´re marching, with captain ludd in mind.
Minmatar will lay death upon every single Amarrian ship.
oooo nice fleet.....cyno field lit. IT'S HOT DROP O'CLOCK!
i think that's deep...if you give them trouble you're in trouble too, and if you give them peace then you're okay
i didnt say it the right way, but yeah
Those of you who had read the novel "Empyrean Age" by Tony Gonzales will know that she is more than human right now.
She can read minds, maybe even create feelings of pain or emotion in her victims.
Crazy bitch..
She sounds JUST LIKE the queen of the Locust!
Thats alot of damn titans lol...AMARR VICTOR!!!
sweet
Now us Australians feel more at home in EvE. In game and in real life we are ruled by a Queen :P
Thanks CCP, Keep up the good work.
Didn't her dark side die after using the BFG?
If you're happy and you know it POD Amarr!
If you cannot find Caldari POD Amarr!
If the Minnies are too frisky and Gallenteans too shifty, and the Jovians too risky POD Amarr!
One thing I don't get, are these characters actual people or just characters made up by the developers.
Actually, she sees herself naked in the mirror in the novel.

..Although, they'd dare not look. She can kill in mroe ways that one, remember? :P
I am the harvenger of Despair
What, an Abaddon?
