- This is the full set of Norwegian black metal legends Mayhem 🇳🇴 performing at Factory Theatre in Sydney 🇦🇺 on 19 January 2023. Can't believe this was my 4th time seeing them and yet, this was in my opinion, their best show I've ever seen! 🤘

I was fortunate enough to see Mayhem in 2011 at the West Hollywood House of Blues and again in 2014 with Watain. I've seen countless bands since my first show in 1996 and nobody is anything like Mayhem. BTW excellent upload, NecroButcher sounds amazing as always (speaking as a bassist).
I was there and it was PERFECTION - 666/10
Will never fucking forget this gig. Best i’ve ever been to hands down. Absolute performance

Thanks for filming, this is great quality. What a fucking performance, they age like a fine wine. And the tracks from Daemon are kick ass live too. I can't wait to see them next week in Tokyo ! Im gonna lose my shit when they play 'To Daimonion', the live version is so fucking good ! cheers
thanks heaps for filming this!
Sick, I get to see them tonight!
Was at the Brisbane show last night thanks for posting this, amazing show 🤘
Frrrk! I was bloody there, what a fantastic show! We need Mayhem in Sydney more. THANKS FOR UPLOADING, THIS IS BLOODY UNREAL!
I love Mayhem's Spirituality
Thanks to share it really cool
They were awesome!
Amazing set!
Witnessed this in the flesh.
This was a gig, this was an experience. Absolutely amazing performers.
This has nothing on the 2010 tour
I will meet them in 2 weeks so exciting
Was a great show, the costume changes were amusing haha.
I’m absolutely spewin I didn’t get to see them.. had no idea they were here 😢
How good was it!
I didn't find out about this until the god damn day of. Guess I had my head buried .. by time and dust.
Being right up front was hectic as well!
the lights r very bright.
The keep filling up the sets with DMDS tracks. Dudes, we love those and all but we've heard them a thousand times.
There's NOTHING from Ordo ,or Esoteric.
I rock those albums more then any of the other's.
Yeah, the old stuff is good but they should be stacking these shows with tracks from the latter part of their career. I mean, one track each from Grand, Chimera and Wolf's Lair? Perhaps it's just too difficult to play that stuff these days? Awesome performance nonetheless.
Illuminate Eliminate,Anti,Psywar🤘
@@juuhaa1 When we saw them when Hellhammer got better, they had already lost Blasphemer and it was MORPHEOUS from Limbonic Art on lead guitar and some other guy on second guitar. They played only "Wall of water" "Illuminate Eliminate" and "Anti" that's it. But that's understandable since those guitarists just jumped in.
They're still touring for the Daemon's record, so expect this same list for all 2023 at least. Then they're probably going to change stuff up and bring back the goodies!
I'm bored too, i much prefer their extreme avant-garde stuff with Blasphemer, Maniac and from Ordo/Esoteric, but i get that they have to do this.
Mayhems going to need a bigger venue next time, i mean 300 odd people is too small
It was great
The show in Tokyo sucked. They had everyone packed in together like sardines. A bigger venue would have been a different outcome.
@@user-ih3ry4rs9k i thought it was sick seeing them somewhere small tbh. but i was close to the front row so i expected to be squashed like a sardine. That room was proper heaving though tbf
I mean, I get that Mayhem is one of the most popular bm bands of all time yet despite that but have you considered that maybe they think that they can only gatner 300 people into their shows? Or that they prefer smaller shows?
Surely the factory can hold more than 300? I’ve been in there a few times and I feel like it can hold roughly 500 (I’ve seen some websites claim it can hold just under 1000 but I doubt that)
I respectively disagree..love seeing mayhem in this smaller setting..seen them in Charlotte NC USA and a few feet from the stages and it's intense! 🤘🤘
It was also cool meeting you before the show (I had the whitechapel shirt)
Thanks, it was nice meeting you too! 🙂
Mayhem will be playing live here in Costa Rica on May 15th; and i've been wondering if it would be worth it to pay and see them. Don't get me wrong i love Mayhem!!! but it seems that in the last 13 years or so they haven't been playing that good live. I saw them back in December of 2013 and trust me when i tell you that 95% of what i've heard was Necrobutcher on Bass......... no joke i really mean it.
It was a 3 day festival on the countryside/on a mountain; with 20 other Bands, all of the other bands sound amazing, Mayhem was the only one that sounded horrible.
So for all the Metalheads who have been in their concerts in the last 10 years hearing them...... i have a question; would it be worth it to pay and hear them live ?????
i mean....aren't you watching the video dude ? It's pretty clear to see it's a good performance. I saw them recently and they sounded wicked, it was a crazy show. You should definitely go see them. Festival sound is never perfect for every band.
mae
I thought they were boring 10 years ago
How is the energy there I’ve never been to a black metal show how are the people like before the show
It was good
Question, was the crowd moshing or just vibing
They were moshing.
Attila showing off his bone toy
not to sound like a nerd emoji but do they still do the thing where they throw pig heads into the crowd? i want to seem them with cannibal corpse with my dad later this year but i dont want my dad to have a heart attack from a pig head getting thrown into the crowd
Lol, have fun with your dad, I'm pretty sure he'll be just fine 😏
No they don't, you and your father will be totally fine. The last time they did that was almost 20 years ago when Maniac was the frontman. Enjoy the show!
honestly new Mayhem is cool, it's just not the same band. I think Mayhem should have just became an entirely new band with a new name, because they really are completely different now
Their backing tracks skipped two nights ago in Nashville. Highly disappointed, as it appeared we were being deceived.
Are they still neo-Nazi? First of all, their show was canceled in my country because of accusations of neo-Nazism and I was curious and wanted answers. Are they really into this kind of ideology or is it all in the past?
I'm very much sure this is a thing of the past.
its all in the past, mayhem is not a nazi band anymore bacause every member that was nazi are now out of the band
@@DEAKY3GAVUEL That's what I thought, they even commented on it today in a note. I happen to see a lot of misinformation and old news being taken as absolute truth or fact of something current, but I wanted to be sure. I'm still pissed they won't be able to come here because of uninformed people
Øystein's ideology: no trends.
gone with him. not saying he was or wasn't but if it was around during his eras of MayheM & now it's not..👀
he made the best music.
@@dEAthlikEstAtic Blasphemer and Maniac made the best music.
*so cringe*
Sounds like toilet
