- Check out the brand new Lambroghini Huracan STO! Join me for a first look at the latest raging bull, the most hardcore variant of the Huracan, heavily inspired by the Super Trofeo EVO racecar. Could this be the first Lambo Shmeemobile?!
The Huracan STO features numerous inspirations, technologies and developments that come from the company's Squadra Corse motorsports division working directly with Centro Stile. For example the front clamshell (named Cofango) is a single sandwich construction piece covering the bonnet, fenders and bumper that pivots forwards akin to the legendary Miura. To the rear it's all drama with a roof snorkel for engine cooling, a shark fin for stability, and a gigantic wing sitting atop aggressive body panel design beneath.
Powered by the familiar 5.2l NA V10, the STO has 640hp and 585Nm, all of which goes through a 7 speed dual clutch to the rear wheels - yes, no 4 wheel drive for this model. That means 0-100km/h (62mph) is 3.0s, 0-200km/h (124mph) is 9.0s and a top speed of 310km/h (193mph), but this is very much a car for the track. The ANIMA Driving Mode selector now defaults to STO mode, and offers Trofeo for the track, and Pioggia for wet conditions, while there's also a Brake Performance Monitor display offered through the HMI to give live data on the new CCM-R braking system.
The racing intentions are emphasised by the change of purpose; gone is the front storage area in favour of airflow managed through the area, with a small space to fit a helmet. Equally the space behind the seats is replaced with a titanium roll cage for mounting the 4 point seatbelts to secure the occupants into the new carbon fibre sports bucket seats.

He has already stated the reason. He had been in an accident which caused a lot of issues to his back and so he can't drive in any hard seats for a long time. The lambos has super hard seats.

@@awesomecarguy9897 no no. Years before he started vlogging, he was ski instructor and a accident occurred at that time to him that caused something terrible to his back. Post that incident, he could only sit on really padded seats or he would not be able to drive the car. This is why he refrains from driving cars like the Aventador etc

The thing is the STO is only having 640hp, the BS 730hp... The BS will remain the fastest PRODUCTION CAR while a tuned, possible supercharged, STO might get the title for fastest ROADLEGAL car like the GT2 RS Manthey Racing...😉😎

Even if the car is fast enough to beat the Nurbugring record set by Mercedes, I highly doubt Lamborghini will attempt it as that would probably anger customers of the Aventador SVJ.
The won’t worry about the time set by the SVJ as the Aventador’s successor will almost certainly have a twin clutch transmission.

1525kg dry weight for SVJ is quite heavy for a lightweight variant.

Edit: For road legal cars, Mercedes is behind the modified Porsche, but for production cars Mercedes is at the top, as far as ring lap records are concerned.
@@Mvrk63 + considering that Merc did it in awful conditions (not fully dry track, 7 degree celsius) it can surely go at least 5 seconds faster so It's only a matter of time for Merc to smash the GT2RS MR too.
@@ErwinLiszkowicz Yeah, going by the track conditions it's like they held back a bit, similar to what they did with the GT63 S lap record, as they again broke the 4 seater record with pretty much the same car. Don't know exactly what's their plan but maybe.

@@Shmee150 You will end up using it on track eventually and you cant tolerate imperfections on your cars. So this might be a hard pass as the front section is a unified replacement unit.

Shmee you're like the one of the few people that has a collection of cars without all these flashy popular cars such as lambos and ferraris (even though you have the GTC4Lusso which technically isn't very popular like a 458 or 488 is). This is one of the reasons I really love this channel, you pick your own path instead of following others. Your collection is the most colorful and beautiful specced out cars out there. This is silly. McLaren is just as flashy as Ferrari and Lambo, and the AMG cars Shmee has aren't that far behind. The fact is Ferrari and Lambo are popular because their cars crush. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's bad. To claim that Shmee's collection is particularly different than other modern supercar collectors and "picking his own path" is pretty disingenuous. The GT8 is the most interesting thing he has.

Shmee, I think you should definitely add one to your collection. I love that you always get the hardcore, race version of cars and that you actually take them on the track. I think that since you are getting rid of your RED Focus RS, maybe a triple coat RED STO will fill that color spot. Yellow AMG Black Series, White AMG Pro, Purple 675LT, Blue Aston GT8, Blue Senna...wait I forgot, I think you are getting the AMG Roadster in RED also. Green BMW M3, Orange Heritage Focus RS, Ford GT Burgundy. I can't wait for 2021.
Perfect first Lambo, Not quite as huge or expensive as the SVJ and still something that will give that ''Lambo Feel'' on the track. The Evo itself is one of the funnest, easiest supercars to own.
But its not awd. So it loses lambo feel

Absolutely love the design of the STO. Lamborghini makes spectacular cars and this just amplifies the fact. I don't think Merc will match on the sheer drama of the NA V10 nor that rear wing. But the Black Series combines performance and practicality better. Your call mate.
