You can bring alcohol (with an ABV of 70% or lower) on an airplane in your carry-on bag if it’s in containers of 3.4 ounces or less or in secure, sealed bags purchased from a duty-free shop. However, you can’t consume any of the alcohol you carried on while you’re on the airplane.

sir, I am coming from abu dhabi to mumbai and then I have connecting flight for kolkata from Mumbai.. so I will buy alcohol from abu dhabi duty free. but after reaching to mumbai when I will go domestic terminal for kolkata flight that time where I have to put the alcohol? in hand bag or checked in bag??

During purchase form Abu Dhabi make sure that it should be in Sealed packed bag.
If it is in seal pack bag then from Mumbai to Kolkata you can take it in your hand luggage.
Duty free shop owner ki responsibility hai ki apko alcohol seal pack bag mai de.
Baki check in luggage mai to ap dal hi sakta ho.
Seal pack bag ko STEB bag kahata hai.
Jab bhi purchase karo Abu Dhabi se to shop owner se bolna STEB bag mai pack karo
