That ‘map scam’ got me when i was a teenager, maybe 14 or 15 I was eating with my partner at the time INSIDE at the Pizza Express at the top of Oxford Street literally right next to Park Lane, so Mayfair, and had my (at the time) brand new latest white 16GB iPhone 4S stolen and a large bill rung up calling abroad and premium rate numbers… They distracted me with a theatre map but I wasn’t interested as they seem rude. I tried to make them go away but they must’ve not pulled my phone off the table yet as they tried to take some food off my plate causing me to slap their hand away. They then left and 10 or 15 mins later i noticed my phone was gone from the table. Tried to find them but obv too late, and this is when there were camps of travellers/immigrants literally living on PARK LANE. Most just good down on their luck people seeking a better life but some just bent on making money however they can, no matter who they hurt. Never had anything stolen from me again though, learnt my lesson…
I don't particularly like the one where the guy is saying he ran out of petrol, this has actually happened to me before and someone helped me by giving me £10.. many people after seeing this will never want to help again
I’ve been watching this videos for the past week and the only thing this are making me do is have no trust and anybody in public !!😂 Like a see someone approaching me and I’m like an octopus touching all my belongings making sure they don’t do any of this shit to me!! Lol
Shredding your documents is not a good idea either, as long as the thief finds all the parts of the shredded paper, after a couple hours of work and dedication, the thief can set the paper back together, this has been done with secret government documents, you can find pictures of it on Google. If you're going to discard of papers that has any personal information on it at all, burn it, don't thrown it away, don't rip it, don't shred it. Burn it. Same goes of hard-drives. NEVER simply throw away a hard-drive in the electrical garbage, smash it to pieces with a hammer before you throw it away. Hard-drives containing secret things from governments and stuff has been thrown away and been recovered by thief's. Long story short, if you are going to throw away ANYTHING that contains ANY personal information AT ALL, destroy it to the point where it would be impossible to recover it. Like burning paper or smashing a hard-drive to pieces.
the quick change scam cost my old job a couple hundred dollars. Sad thing about it is even if you catch them doing it there's really nothing you can do about it unless you have store security. Cops won't get there before the person leaves
i been trying to watch the the part with the double transaction and tricking the cashier and walking away with 10 extra pounds. I DON'T GET IT. My mind is a mess!!!
bubbaXzone it only works if the cashier hands the thief the bill first before realizing she was short changed. So the second time he is asking for change he gives her back the bill she just gave when asking for a different bill.
It's easier if you break it down. both sides have £20 and they swap evenly 20-20 Alex asks to swap some of the change for a note and gives the lady £9 29-11 lady gives him £10 19-21 he gets her to check it, realises his "mistake" and gives her £11 30-10 she gives him £20 back and he leaves 10-30 Someone tried it with me once but I saw this show when it originally aired and counted everything out in plain view before any money changed hands.
All of Jess' hustles only work because she's Jess, I mean if she pulled that any of those cheap tricks on me I'd pay up too, but if a dude tries to swindle another dude like that, you're in for a punch to the face.
I first came in UK in 2015..lost my Id copy and insuracne number in train station..I m not able to have an phone contract due to my credit score(I receive weekly good amount of money on my account)..I paid for Experian Credit Check and I found out I have a car loan since 2003(when I was 8years old( how is this shit possible? Or may be a mistake made my credit agency..
Lol when I was like 16 we used to always pull that sob story shit, I didn't know it was considered a con, me and my super innocent looking girlfriend would just look really sad and by the end of the day wede have enough for booze and some nice food plus a ton of gas lol.
i literally tried to understand the money exchange scam where alex did to the cashier. i manage to do it and it really blows my mind! obviously i wont be doing it to anybody lol. but it's really scary to know how easy it is to confuse people and walk away with an extra $10!
So, with the cashier scam for instance, if it was unstaged, how did they manage to get the fixed camera angles? There's one shaky hidden cam that can be accounted for by an undercover accomplice, but there's a long-shot from an obviously fixed camera filming from the cashier's right, as well as the closeup shots of her hands in the till.
^ this. The victims aren't really random, and they stopped saying that in later episodes. While it IS unstaged (that is, the scammed people are unaware), they generally have the permision of the store/casino/whatever mannager, or it's a family member who is helping them and are aware of what is about to happen.
That pool trick with the triangle is stupid. I wouldn't pay up after seeing that! She cheated. Sure, she didn't say you couldn't use it, but no one would think of that because you're not allowed to put stuff on the table, just like the guy said. She cheated, which invalidates the bet! I would have grabbed my money back and walked away.
That chap who gave Paul the 10er looks like he needs the money but where as the first man who Alex approaches is well dressed and looks like he has a few quid but he won't even cough up 10p.. SMH!!
That is why most American shops require you to buy something to get change. I still find it hard to believe that he could pull that one on someone. Usually they work with money enough to not get confused. Maybe if he tried it a dozen times he might get lucky.
An extension of the petrol scam is this guy who hung around at airports in Europe and asked people to help him change the flight details on his ticket for a minimal amount. He wore a suit and had a sob story about getting back in time to see his wife and kids. He did it for over 10 years and made hundreds of thousands pulling the con.
Once a young girl approached me in the center of town and said she lacked a few money to pay the ticket for a longer bus journey home. I offered to drive her half of the distance as I drove the same direction and then she could afford the ticket. She refused!
I would decline too. As a female, being quite physically weak, I wouldn't get into a strange man's car, no matter how desperate I was for a ride. You seem like a nice guy, but there are plenty of people who aren't. Poor girl was just protecting herself.

The petrol one is just cringe. Ran out of petrol and lost his wallet the same day... argh. Im embarrassed for him
The sob story scam is basically just non homeless people begging
I don't particularly like the one where the guy is saying he ran out of petrol, this has actually happened to me before and someone helped me by giving me £10.. many people after seeing this will never want to help again
Phil Kasafir xx
@@slenjamiah lol
you still alive Phil. 7 years, a lot must of happened. Hope you're well and all the best
The pool thing is almost an exact repeat of the one from the previous episode.
This show helped me make a lot of money
“Nah these cans in the middle… no these things *points to cans on shelf*” Makes me laugh every time.
She gets away with a lot of this because she is young and attractive. A man or a less attractive woman would not fair so well.

For Alex's Business Card Sob Story Scam, i'd ring the number on the card 1st beforehand before i part with money
i been trying to watch the the part with the double transaction and tricking the cashier and walking away with 10 extra pounds. I DON'T GET IT. My mind is a mess!!!

+bubbaXzone Please send me a message if you decide to work as a cashier, I'd come everyday to ask you for change. :D
You're slow then
It's easier if you break it down.
both sides have £20 and they swap evenly 20-20
Alex asks to swap some of the change for a note and gives the lady £9 29-11
lady gives him £10 19-21

Do they not confirm with the manager/owner of the store first and the trick the member of staff on duty?

yeah why do you think he has money? because he holds onto it instead of betting it away in dumb situations
FFS, Every episode he mispronounces "femme fatale"
Don't they need date of birth on a loan application
No they just need someone to approve it everything is bought and sold even my now ex wife

To get home.
