If the future times we live in were prophesied and were written about more than a thousand years ago, then who saw and heard them? 🤔 what's more easily to write down about , the past or the future?.
The first book to be written in the New Testament was written more than 10 years after the ascension of Christ. The LORD had already told them that when the Spirit of TRUTh comes, "He shall teach you all things. And remind you of all things I commanded you." It is very good that this man mentions that he went to theological schools, this was exactly Saul's confidence when he killed the disciples. He met Gamaliel while the disciples met the Holy Spirit who began to tell them all things! It is Apostle Paul who finally confirmed that "all scripture is given by the inspiration of GOD." (not theology or lecturers) Men who have met GOD can be taken to places they have never been to physically, and be allowed to see things and know them. Just like Apostle John spoke of certain mysteries to come. And some which happened before. It is the same Spirit who made the Apostles know the things which happened during Jesus's alone moments. Those who have come to understand know that even Moses saw what GOD spoke in His Heart and wrote it: Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

understanding is key in anything and everything in life, without it, one can make a fool of himself. The very same one can ask about the stories they had about their ancestors, where they were also alone somewhere in the mountain with no one else but them, and everyone including his family ended up knowing what happened when he was in the mountain alone than you will get your answer of your question this is why there's never a foolish question but one can make themselves a fool not to say they're a fool but lack understanding which makes them to be like one. This is why change of thinking is paramount if one is in search of knowledge.
Good question you asked though Key take points: 1 when He went out to pray alone… the word alone is important that means no one was with Him to record prayers 😅😅 kanti which English did you do eskolweni ?
If we are seated, by a fire, as a group, and one of us stands us alone and walks to an isolated place around our camp, and he gets a call, and he is alone and we can hear him and write down what we hear him saying even though we are not right with him. A word to the wise is enough. 🙂
I think the prayer was taught to the the disciples after they ask Him to teach them how to pray Matthew 6: 6-14. There was a moment when he was going to b crucified, he went to pray alone and left disciples alone, come back found them sleeping and he remind them to pray as they has few time with him. The confusing part was the prayer in the absent of the disciples when he said' tshinwelo khatshi mphuke' revealed to them
There are two explanations. The first is that the Holy Spirit inspired Mark and the other Gospel writers with the knowledge of what transpired in the Garden of Gethsemane, even though they were not present (or, in John’s case, were snoozing). This, of course, is exactly what the Lord promised would take place (Jn 14:26). The second explanation is that, after his Resurrection, during the 40 days he spent conversing with and teaching his apostles and other followers, Jesus recounted to them many of his otherwise unknowable conversations and actions, some of which were later recorded in the Bible, some of which weren’t. Remember, as John 20:30-31 and 21:25 point out, there were many things which Jesus said and did which are not recounted in the Bible.
Its very suprising that we need to be answering questions which should be asked from the faith owner, God! Where are we expected to find these answers? why should we be comfortable with these questions, also coming from scholars like Maponga! The door to Christ is still open by the way. Also to note that these questions arent coming for the first time, they have foot prints even while Jesus was still on earth in flesh and blood, at times he would respond to such questions in the very same way the were asked because wisdom dictates that once you find the intention of a question then you can completely respond to that question otherwise your response will attract more and more questions andend up wasting time.
Jesus may have shared His prayers with His disciples afterward. As a teacher, He often explained His actions to them to deepen their understanding of faith.
During the time of Jesus, the region of Judea was heavily influenced by Greek culture, following the conquests of Alexander the Great (4th century BCE). Many Jews adopted Greek names alongside their Hebrew names, reflecting the widespread cultural integration. Examples: Simon Peter's original name was the Hebrew "Shimon," but he was also called "Petros" (Greek for "rock").
Since you nor I were there, we can only guess. My guess is that he told his disciples his prayer since they were nearby, either before or after his prayer. I sometimes tell my wife that I am going to go into my room to pray for AA who is doing BB to C and that some intervention is needed. The problem is us humans always turn to our own understanding instead of trusting the Lord. God doesn't do things in your way of understanding, as heavenly things are not the same as earthly things. Tap into your spirit man and he will give you wisdom.
As far as the writing of the bible is concerned, I believe trusted souls are chosen by God to print these scriptures. Bear in mind that we have prophets and seers. We can get visions, dreams, and premonitions. If more than two people can receive the identical word of God from the Holy Spirit, how can we question such accurate integrity?
Did they? Or is that what you want to believe. I think Mr Maponga is just raising a very uncomfortable point in Christianity. That we want to believe all that were Christians before us were good and haven’t tempered with the word. But the fact that no one went to the prayers with Jesus, but the prayers are in the bible. It could possibly mean the prayer itself might not be Jesus’s words but John’s prayer
@farailangton6447 I like the fact you use the word "possibly". It will be wrong for me to be upset bcos you believed it was John's prayer. Bcos everyone is entitled to their believe system. We are all free to believe what we want, bcos at the end of it all, every believes have possibilities of truths.
As a pastor who studied theology, I am sure you know that Moses wasn’t born yet when God created the garden of Eden yet he managed to write about it. 1. Oral history from generation to another 2. Inspirited by God Wouldn’t that apply to Jesus’s disciples especially that they walked with “God”?

(not theology or lecturers)
Men who have met GOD can be taken to places they have never been to physically, and be allowed to see things and know them. Just like Apostle John spoke of certain mysteries to come. And some which happened before. It is the same Spirit who made the Apostles know the things which happened during Jesus's alone moments. Those who have come to understand know that even Moses saw what GOD spoke in His Heart and wrote it:
Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Ecclesiastes 7:16 Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise- why destroy yourself?
Meaning be dumb so that people can use you.
The holy spirit ❤ told the disciples 🎉 about the prayers when Jesus Christ was praying
Sir Jesus loves you 🙏🏿 God bless you
So the holy spirit was always around, then why Jesus talking of coming of holy spirit?? Confusion in the bible.you will here the spirit was different from the other one😂😂😂😂
@@JeffreyMutombeni yes he was always around that's why we say our God is three in one the Trinity the holy spirit, God the father and God the son when Jesus was about to go heaven that's when he talked about leaving the holy spirit with us to be our leader to direct us and tell us of all things to come ✝️ the holy spirit was always there even in the old testament
you are avoiding the truth this is a fairytale...a story ..just like movie....
@@JeffreyMutombeni read the bible. It has all those answers
Spiritual truth lies outside spiritual dead things
13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.
14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
- John 8:13-14
Maponga, my brother, there is nothing new under the sun. The question you asked, was already asked long before you were even born. Jesus dealt with it decisively then, and that same answer stands to the present day and forevermore.
Clearly the spirit of the Pharisee is alive and well in you.
understanding is key in anything and everything in life, without it, one can make a fool of himself.
Good question you asked though
Key take points:
1 when He went out to pray alone… the word alone is important that means no one was with Him to record prayers 😅😅 kanti which English did you do eskolweni ?
If we are seated, by a fire, as a group, and one of us stands us alone and walks to an isolated place around our camp, and he gets a call, and he is alone and we can hear him and write down what we hear him saying even though we are not right with him. A word to the wise is enough. 🙂
All scripture was borne along by holy spirit 📍 The fact that the Bible survived many attempts of annihilation really shows that its God 's word .
I think the prayer was taught to the the disciples after they ask Him to teach them how to pray Matthew 6: 6-14. There was a moment when he was going to b crucified, he went to pray alone and left disciples alone, come back found them sleeping and he remind them to pray as they has few time with him. The confusing part was the prayer in the absent of the disciples when he said' tshinwelo khatshi mphuke' revealed to them
Faith is a substance of things that are seen physically
A good knowledge in theology will handle all this questions. When a person is poorly prepared,he will end up with questions instead of answers.
The gospel is more spiritual than ever i think I answered right
There is power that affects the readers of the Bible.
Interesting question 😊
The Holy Ghost is the one who detailed to the writers what was said in secret. Seeing that the book was inspired by him from start to finish
This one has really gone bonkers. To even think you smarter than your maker is really pushing it to the most demonic low.Job 5:13
GOD help us.🙏
Ok Thomas
The Holy Spirit was a witness when Jesus was praying alone in Gethsemane or Mt. OLIVES.
Intolerance is not an option
By show of hands, who here has gone somewhere alone and did something by themselves and later came back and told someone about it?
Simple. Jesus narrated the story to his disciples
I don't think so.he didn't.the writer wrote under inspiration of the holy spirit
I don’t think we have a problem with questioning the problem is when we lose faith and belief
Holy Spirit is the Author
After Jesus ressurected, the disciples ask him what happened at the garden when we were asleep.
I personal believe that now you have answer to those questions may be try to help us how you understand it, so that we go into the right track.
He claims he believes in miracles but when miracles take place is questioning himself that is this a miracle really
2 Peter 1:21 (KJV) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
As a pastor who studied theology, I am sure you know that Moses wasn’t born yet when God created the garden of Eden yet he managed to write about it.
1. Oral history from generation to another
2. Inspirited by God
Wouldn’t that apply to Jesus’s disciples especially that they walked with “God”?
2 Timothy 3 verse 16... the word is inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was ever present.
😢sad to see 😔 him going offline like this
We don't know everything,we believe everything, the problem is that we feel ashamed to say that...I believe there is God and Jesus came and died to save the world but I'm not sure about all the scriptures because some contradicts one another
Maponga is right .there are so many scriptures that needs some answers.no q is ready to answer except saying it's a blasphemy when u need some answers.even in times of noah they say God said in his heart he will never destroy men again.now who was in the heart of God when he said those words in his heart. That is why apostle Paul who is worse in the bible said it is an allegory. Steve Wonder says if u believe anything that u don't understand u will suffer superstitious ain't the way
After Jesus had ascended he told his disciples to expect the holy spirit
My guess the spirit revealed to the author!!
According to scriptures the Holy Spirit was always there !
The same way as the scriptures writers were inspired by the holy spirit to write that
Alihamudulillah I am a Muslim #muslim #brothers
Which verse maphunga
ONLY A CARNAL MAN CAN ASK THE QUESTION THAT SAYS WHO RECORDED JESUS PRAYER WHEN HE WENT ALONE TO PRAY.
Or a man who dares to seek and ask, which Yeshua is said to have told people to do.
Holy man were moved by the Holy Spirit
Its like asking where the soil that made the earth came from?
Spiritual things are not for the canally minded
Which prayer in particular
Please read 2 Timothy 3:16 and Proverbs 1:7 too
Jesus is a reality so is God the Father and the Holy Spirit Jesus lives in His people's hearts He walks talks with them and they are overwhelmed by how excellent is His loving kindness mercy and grace Nothing can take Him out of their hearts its an experience Taste and see how the Lord is good Some talk topics are just diversionary tactics to peddle lies falsehoods and untruths and remove focus from Jesus as the gift of God to mankind for the atonement of our sins and bring about reconciliation between God and man and man and man true happiness and love
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
I thank my parents and my grand parents for not involved in slave masters religions. Back to our ROOTS.
It's the the Holy spirit, who teaches, every things Jesus was there with the disciples,,pride will makes someone to fall big ,,that's why you cannot equate yourself with God,and you think you are Smart,, scholars think they are all knowing,
Now I understand your problem my brother
You wanna meet Jesus...
That should not be a problem he has always appeared to people who looked for him.
And I'm telling you, you'll meet him on his own time.
There is a thing called Ancient scripts which are reveal ony by holy spirit
I think it’s ok for Mr Maponga to question the bible I worry about churches across the continent that still invite him to preach when he is clearly not part of the body of Christ anymore.
Even you mr Maponga, every word and deed good or bad by yourself is recorded against you and you will either be rewarded or judged according to it
How the mighty have fallen.
The holy spirit revealed it ..
What worries me is that all this things happened out side africa but we believe it. This is make not sure.
