I do Christmas PJs that I match with my 14 year old I asked if matching was still ok this year and was so glad it was a yes!! Got them from Walmart buffalo plaid thinner pjs that said cozy on the front! Even though we live in the Chicagoland can’t sleep in fleece pjs get too hot like to snuggle under blankets instead! Luckily I had bought Buffalo plaid slippers after Christmas sale so they will match perfectly! I also get my husband some pj bottoms that match us but he likes fleece since he works in the basement and gets cold! We’ll get our pj boxes December 1st and also advent calendars!
We also do a Christmas 1st box! I fill it with pajamas, an advent calendar, hot cocoa, and a game, movie, or puzzle! This year I did a game from Not Consumed Ministries! And yes, our dogs get their own little boxes because they love “opening” presents too! 😂
We do something really similar, I call it our Christmas kick-off box. Instead of the night we decorate the tree (the Saturday after Thanksgiving), I give it to them the next morning, they wake up to it under the tree. It's typically been just one big basket, but this year, I think I wasn't to incorporate their stockings. They get their dressy Christmas outfits for the year, their casual Christmas clothes, their pjs, some treats, crafts to do throughout the month, I put in all our Christmas books, and some novelty things like Santa hats, headbands ect.
Love seeing what you do for your family each year. We do a similar thing as well but we tend to put a lot of things we plan on doing/ using in our boxes as well. I usually do one box for all of the kids and it has their PJs, a gingerbread house, cookies to decorate, and then we put a lot of crafts in ours. I love having quick activities for when I’m trying to cook dinner and the whole house seems to be losing it so I stock up on hobby lobby/ dollar tree crafts. Depending on the year- I’ve also put in Christmas plates, cups, toys, etc. Little odds and ends that we might like to have. 🎄
We call them December boxes. We always do pjs, but the last couple years I’ve transitioned to pjs they will want to wear all year. Then we also do an ornament for their tree, a treat, a hot cocoa, and we sometimes do a book. This year we are doing a game instead.
I loved this. We do the same thing. PJ’s, ornament, puzzle, and an advent calendar. Sometimes I throw in some socks. I bought a family advent nativity calendar as well for us to do after we do our daily advent reading. 😊
We do these boxes and give them thanksgiving weekend. We call them elf boxes because the elf on the shelf brings them. We give each child their own special ornament and the family gets one from our vacation travels. This year we went to Italy and Spain. So we got one from the Vatican.
Love the puzzle 🧩 idea. I might need to switch from books to puzzles in a year or 2 for the same reason. I have done ornaments too. Trying to keep it minimal, I am doing hot chocolate bombs , we have been getting matching pjs from children’s place.
I do boxes on December 1st and I was inspired by you years ago. A lot of people do Christmas Eve boxes but my family opens up presents with extended family and we have a busy and late night. When I saw that you do it sooner I was so excited to start a new tradition. My kids are 9 and 7. Their boxes always have Christmas pajamas, a festive Christmas shirt and hot chocolate dipping spoons and a chocolate covered marshmallow Santa/ornament (whatever I find). Some years I have put in Christmas socks, headband for my daughter, Rudolph noses, and their ornaments etc. This year we are putting in blankets and a little gingerbread pillow that looks like a stuffy, a Christmas lights necklace, cute Christmas plates and a ceramic mug. All inexpensive target dollar spot items. I used to always include a picture book and activity book but this year I picked up come Christmas chapter books that I will put in a little basket for them to share. I love putting together this box of goodies! Thank you for your inspiration years ago!
We don't do those boxes but I wanted to share that where I grew up in Canada we have double-decker busses. Both red tourist ones and regular transit ones.
We have a really beautiful edition of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens illustrated by Roberto Innocenti. It makes an interesting story even better with the beautiful artwork.

Very cute boxes. It’s amazing they all like the same candy. Mine never like the same as a sibling.

I’ve been waiting for this video since September 🫣🤣
Love the puzzle idea!
I did a puzzle this year too!
Love your videos ❤
We have always used the magnetic closed boxes. It they came assembled. But we only have two kids. So not as hard to pack away.
We have a really beautiful edition of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens illustrated by Roberto Innocenti. It makes an interesting story even better with the beautiful artwork.
Can you please adopt me? I just turned 60 years old but I would love to have such a great mom!😩
Where did you find the reusable boxes? I would love to do them for my kids Christmas Eve boxes.
