Welcome to 59. Its not ao nad once you get used to it. (I tuened 59 in Jan.) My worst bday aas my 30th, it was so depressing. I felt like my life was over and i felt sooo old😂. My mother was 57 when she was diagnosed with colon cancer and she passed away 2 months after her 58th bday. So, in the back of my mind for the past 20 something yrs, i thought the same thing would happen to me. Now that i have passed that age, I welcome the birthdays. Beautiful lapel pin❤ Hugs
So sorry to hear about your mother. I think all that therapy to honour the inner child worked to well. My brain is still in my twenties. All I do is swim, bike and hang out with my friends playing with beads. I think I'm going to take a do over and celebrate it 🥳
Emma this is awesome and gorgeous! I have a friend who collects vintage broaches and he would love this. He is really sort of BOHO fashionable and wears many of them. I can see him dying over this. I guess I will try one to give to him. I love how you just try new things. I’m still working on learning better stitch technique so I’m not tearing things apart all the time. Oh on backings … I’ve seen suede used before too. I could see this as a piece a performer would wear too. And that silver superduo one too! Performers always look for big knockout lookers! That’s a stunner. IMO those superduos would be fine since nobody but you would know they turned. A professional jeweler told me the best way to keep any kind of jewelry from turning, fading and scratching each other, etc is each should be placed in a small plastic bag. It’s a pain I know and not as much fun as displaying them. But I can tell you after years of doing this is true and really has kept even some junk jewelry nice.
Thanks Gail 🤓 I have a short attention span so I keep jumping to new projects. I loved doing the pin and have a bunch ready to go. Someone mention doing a Barret. I have a bunch of those too 😜 I appreciate the tip for protecting jewellery. Big hugs from Nova Scotia 🐿️
Hi Emma, The lapel pin is really nice, I think he will like it! The bracelets are beautiful, it's a shame the color coming off on the one. Thank you for sharing with us! 💛💚💜
Hi Emma. Ken has said he will use this pin to hold his button hole as the colour matches his new suit. He is also planning to wear his peaky blinder hat, I do not do hats or stuff in my very thin short fine hair. I hate birthdays with a zero at the end, they always mean something bad for me, mind you I hate all birthdays now they start with a 6!! Where has the time gone? Thank you for everything. X x x
Hi Emma. This is beautiful. I knew I liked Jennifer! I say “Some people’s children” all the time! That’s so funny. You made me laugh out loud and I scared my cat! 😹😹😹I love the bracelets you showed us near the end as well. Can you please tell me what the beads in the middle called? They look round on top but I noticed when you flipped them over they are flat on the back. Thank you for your time and expertise. I’ve learned so much from you. Good to hear you again. Take care and say hi to Jenn. Have you gotten anymore results from your tests? Goodnight. 💝🥰
Hi Susan 🤓 the beads are ginko beads. Saw the cardiologist last week. He said I have a heart murmur so is sending me for an echocardiogram and stress test. We are hanging in there ❤️
@@BabySquirrelBeading awe. If it’s not one thing it’s another. I’m happy your Doctor is on top of it and sending you for the proper tests but be prepared. It will be months to get into each appointment. Don’t let it stress you out too much. We can’t change it unfortunately. Thank you for the name of those beads Emma. Say hi to Jenn. 💝🥰🤗
I'm soon to be 66 so anything under that,to me, is young. I agree that your mind doesn't age as fast as the rest of you. I'm still 24 in my mind. Lost my mum at the end of November last year so maybe there's a few more years left for me yet. Thank you for the joy you bring Emma, that pin is lovely x Hugs to you & Jen xx
Thank you Helen 🤓 I think the hardest part of aging is losing loved ones and medical issues. I hope you are doing well. I am planning a trip to England for my 60th 😜
Ooohhh Emma that would be amazing. I live in North East England (Google' Tynemouth) we have great beaches, amazing history & Harry Potter castles. Come & visit❤ I miss my mam but she was suffering at the end so a blessing really. Hugs to you & Jen xx
That would be a gorgeous design for a barrette.
That is a good idea 🤓

I'm so glad Ken likes it 🤗 He will look amazing with his peaky blinder hat. I hear you 👂 no 6's, no 0's 😭
love it and the colors make it gorgeous
I use wildfire, works good. I use to use Fireline at first but I don’t like it. Wildfire does split tho sometimes. Hopefully Ken likes your work
Kath says he's going to wear it 🤓
