I love that you got over an hour interview with him!!! That's so epic. Love that you mentioned his singing. Back in the early 2000s he had full song samples up of his singing. To this day, I still like his rendition of Beyond the Sea more than the original. Crazy that that voice is the same voice that does gruff and feral Wolverine. Loved this interview and how it took me back to my childhood. Love what you guys are doing! It's hard to maintain a podcast these days and people don't know how hard it can be to not only put together and maintain, but to also find an audience. You all do so splendidly! Love it!

LOVE THIS! Have heard most of these stories, but NEVER with this much detail and context. It's interesting he mentioned they thought about putting him in a film with Hugh. There were rumors that the Deadpool & Wolverine movie would possibly visit Xmen TAS briefly, but I guess it isnt the case since this was recorded this month, DPxWolverine cameos have already been shot, and Cal here is talking in future tense (hasnt happened.) Though it's interesting when you mentioned Deadpool x Wolverine and he gets very quiet at 34:05. So maybe he felt he accidentally mentioned a scripted "Can I help you bub?" from DPxW or previous attempt at getting the two Wolverines briefly together for a wolvie film. In the comics, not too long ago they had Old Man Logan go to another timeline and meet his younger self. I could imagine a scene where Hugh Wolverine younger meets Cal Wolverine. A fan can dream.
This wasn't recorded recently, it was recorded over a year ago. So, your theory could very well be accurate! It would be awesome to see!
@@CannedAir Wow that would be something to see! Love your rapport with him. Was it hard to get him for an interview? My cousin and I have been fans of his since the 90s and hes the one who got us into voice acting. Really a legend. The Wolverine voice is such a unique one.
