She even saved Sheryl's life during the climax, probably knowing full well that Alto preferred Sheryl. An after story where they've all settled in would be a nice slice-of-life addition. In the original I feel they settled it that the military gal had won and the idol lost, but they all ended up happy after all the dust had settled.

arigato wonderful music by Yoko Kanno and lyrics by Gabriela Robin. Voices are divine. Soundtrack of Macross Frontier is a masterwork like Kenji Kawai " Ghost in the Shell 1", "Patlabor 2", Geinoh Yamashirogumi's "Akira", and Joe Hisaihi. And the anime is quite smart, the best of all Macross, because it can speak to adults about complex themes as cybernetics, ethics, consequences of war, roots of war, corruption between army and private corps, conflicts of civilisation, the power of music, astronomy, etc. Psychological studies are very subtle in the anime serie, because it takes 25 x 25 mn. I must add that infinite and invincible melancholia is still there.
this song is really complex, in some versions may'n almost screams the chorus to the point she reaches the breaking point, probably a director instruction you can hear it at 4:15

More detailed materials suggested 3 fleets were given the chance to create a fighter based on the YF-24 Evolution. Frontier Fleet had the YF-25 Prophecy which became the VF-25 Messiah. Galaxy Fleet had the YF-27 Shaher which became the VF-27 Lucifer, although the Lucifer was also based on leaked data when Frontier was developing the YF-29 Durandal. A third Fleet called Macross Olympia had a prototype called the YF-26, but they did not push through with and instead used the VF-25 as their fighter as well.
Frontier is the best macross series for me.

Megumi/Ranka's voice is so smooth and sweet and innocent, while May'n/Sheryl's is so emotional and complex. Stupid Alto doesn't deserve these two.

The VF-27 was made at the same time as the VF-25, but was not the main fighter for the UN Spacy since it was made without their knowledge.
