I love the feature of the game that is the wild mix of voices that have either a) a heavy French accent b) a heavy British accent c) a heavy German accent
wait, you find it inconsistent? would you mind elaborating? this is a genuine question because I'm not from the US and i really love the voice work for Titus.
@@IceWaterPhone Okay, I am late to this thread but I love talking about voice acting so hope y'all don't mind the late addition. I believe what they meant was Titus' accent is inconsistent with the rest of DE's cast; there are few other American-accented characters so his heavy southern accent is a little out of place. Although I'm not from the US myself, I personally think his accent is totally fine, if a little cartoonishly exaggerated at times. However, there are other American-sounding characters in DE whose accents *are* inconsistent and *not* very convincing, in my opinion at least. Lena and Gary's voices are great, acting-wise, but their accents are pretty shabby - they sound like a British person's imperfect imitation of an American, and they sometimes slip in and out of sounding American and British. Personally, though, I like it. It adds to the surrealism of this fictional world, like this transatlantic-sounding accent is just how some people sound; it's not necessarily just awkward voice acting, it can totally be diegetic. Either way, the variety of accents among the cast of DE is truly fascinating to me, and very fun to think about,,, which is why I just rambled about it for way too long lol
@@bonkboy4386I think Morrell was supposed to sound Australian?? I found it charming, just a bonkers bad Australian accent on a cryptozoologist. Somehow fits.
@@ShartinScorsese Yeah, combined with his explorer garb he's a total crocodile dundee cliché. For me Morrell's accent just borders being too silly among DE's cast; it's like he's from another game, especially considering the Man on the Waterlock has a way more natural sounding Australian accent than Morrell. But I agree, it is part of his charm.

Don’t forget Titus’ extremely nebulous and inconsistent southern accent for some reason.
