Totally agree. Many describe it as happy, but much of the time there's that sad undertone which is part of its power. Have loved this music since first hearing it.
Seen a film made in 1991 about this family it told about their life style and their cooking it showed a lot about the area they lived in it's a very good piece of their history.
I will be returning to my husband's home in New Orleans, in the coming two years. I am doing lots of 'homework' so as to prepare to become a respectable citizen of Louisiana..this Cajun music part is the BEST preparation I ever did...
+roger leger Actually this is not at Savoy Music Center in Eunice. This is from when they were visiting California in 2009. At Down Home Music in El Cerrito
Très belle chanson/prestation. Même si en tant que métropolitain j'ai beaucoup de mal a comprendre les paroles! Bravo et longue vie a la culture Cajun!
I'm from Houston and I must say the finest people I have ever met are from Louisiana, if I ever had to leave Texas south Louisiana would be my first choice

The music is in the key of A major .. is that an "A" accordion?
Thank you.
Marc is playing a D accordion. Songs in the key of A are often played on a D accordion in the "pull"
