hero has launched their first 440cc bike the MAVRICK 440 which is a cruiser sports bike and if we talk about its head to head competitor which is the Triumph Sped 400 whic also comes under the same price tag of 2.8 lakhs approx, both bikes have many things in similar, both bikes have thier own advantages and disadvantages, but if they are very different when it comes to riding experience, so the question is which one should you buy?

Most people doesn't know that hero isn't using Harley's engine, its the other way around. Hero has been nurturing this 440 engine for 4 year. When Harley came in knocking the door that's when they shared the engine.

Please also do mention that the mid variant of Maverick without the esim features but still having bt and navigation features is only 2.14 lakhs versus the speed 400 at 2.33 lakhs, that's 19,000 difference and a lot of value for money. If you want to point out small small welding issues then how can you forget the mid variant price advantage.

Your point is very much valid but I think, when we compare two bikes we must compare the two top variants. And the mid variants on road price is around 2.6L 🙂

@@laRh77706 not yet, I'm still waiting for the blue one to arrive at my dealership. But from the test rides I've done, I felt it was great in many aspects. Suspension is very good, handles very well, has a reasonably tight turning radius, pulls like anything, the torque I mean but you have to shift up quickly as the revs max out at 6000rpm. Zigwheels has posted a 0 to 100 of 8.2 seconds which is the fastest in the long stroke segment. Does 100 at 4000rpm, has an overdrive 6th gear, great for long rides with nice fuel economy. In the long stroke segment this is the best you can get in all areas. Refinement, can't beat the Honda 350s but they come with only 5 gears and also the 5th gear has no pull, only cruise. Classic 350 is very boring in front of this. I liked it in all these areas, you can ask about any particular thing if needed. Also seat, foot peg, handle bar position is absolutely comfortable, both for city and highways.

@@laRh77706 also, I won't compare it to triumph 400 except the price point. They are entirely different type of engines and different type of formats. I don't like high compression high revving engines which always feel a bit hurried, I like slightly simpler machines which feel a bit relaxed. So you have to first decide what kind of machine and character you want. If you like speed 400 like bikes, then ns400 is there as a much cheaper alternative. Otherwise test the cb300r, doesn't have many features but you'll fall in love with the ease it handles and its acceleration in any gear. Please don't fall for the top speeds of any bike as its a total waste, you'll only do it a few times in your ownership of the bikes. But if you have the money and need a 40bhp bike with looks and big brand name, then the speed 400 is great. Sorry if I've bored you

Mavrick performs both city rides with traffic as well touring ...but Triumph speed is not so good in traffic ....Also you mentioned Triumph international bike ...Maverick also having international fame Harley engine
