yooo, I swear the fact that you aded 'not too hard to get through' I feel that. my whole mission is to make this accessible and fun, which many historians don't do. that being said - Stephen fry's mythos is your best bet for greek mythology, and Neil Gaiman's Norse mythology for, obviously, Norse mythology. next year I'll be writing my first book on greek mythology too

An absolute supremely done job summarizing Oden in Norse mythology. The Norse mythos has influened much in western civilization such as the names of the week (specifically mon-friday). Odin is a king and a god. Kings and gods often have to do very morally questionable things in the name of peace and I really wish Marvel would highlight this aspect of Odins character in their take on Norse mythology more.

I came across your channel. Honestly, I'm pretty impressed.I can appreciate and admire the way you tell the lore to the variety of mythos you have collected information on. It's definitely one of my favorites. Especially since you lead with making clarification in both the beginning and end on certain places and things.
I’ve always interpreted Niðavellir and Svartalfheim to be the same realm. Difference being that the Dark Elves called it Svartalfheim (since svartalf loosely means dark elf) and the dwarves called it Niðavellir.
It's interesting that in the God of War games they reframe Loki's children in a way, they aren't his children per say, but he ends up being responsible for them becoming Giants. So they become his kids of sort in a round about way.
The only correction i wanna throw in is the mistletoe, it wasnt forgotten (least in the books i have of norse mythology) it was seen too young of a plant "to be seen as a threat" but either than being too nitpicky, loved the video!

And when it comes to 'undermining the nornir' as you put it, adherence to prophecy, or rather, caring about it at all whether positively or negatively is literally ALWAYS the cause of the prophecy coming true. Knowledge of the future is always a poison.
