Thank you so much- had no problem changing the directional bulb. But to disconnect the wires, you should mention that the RED plastic piece should be pulled up to remove.

The white clip at the back of light as a fitting in side of car that needs to be turned 90 degrees that releases clip so that it does not break when you pull light forwards to remove it

Where are you located? Greece? I am in USA. i just did it today and i have a question. there are 3 sockets. one for a single filament bayonet bulb, a small wedge bulb and a second bayonet socket. the small wedge bulb is the marker light. the single-filament bulb appears to do everything. marker, turn and stop. and there is no bulb in the third socket. . Now, this is european car, and the turn signal should be yellow, right? but on this car is RED. the stop and turn is the same bulb, american standard. Can someone explain what is the third socket doing, please. I tried. Installed a light bulb, measured voltage, nothing happened. The yellow lenses appear like there is no bulb behind them..... Also, if i try to install a bulb on the 1:40-lower socket, I can not put it together: there is no space for a bulb on this assembly. Again, is it because this is americacn car? thank you in advance.

I did fine until I tried to get the red clear covering off.... I tried to gently wiggle it as I pulled straight back, to no avail. Anybody got any advice for me? I don't want to damage anything.

You have to go inside the car and inside the little compartmentmext to the tail light there is a white knob that you turn 90 degrees with a ratchet to release the light fixture.
