Very good sign that he was handicapping himself during wrestling. He understands she's smaller and more fragile, but still wants to play with her. Dogs typically do this when they want to strengthen bonds with each other, puppies especially.
In my experience, it’s the cat holding back and being gentle here. Never underestimate a cat’s ability to rip something apart.
Actually, they're both holding back. That's how you can see they're playing.
Bengals are awesome - high energy and uber athletic. They need constant stimulation to be fulfilled. Having a friend is the best medicine
"Looks rough?" That IS rough! But what's missing is anger & aggression. Well, there _is_ aggression, but they're not fighting, they're playing. You can see the bite pressures and paw swipes are held back by both so as to not cause injury. It's fascinating to me, because I can see that the bites & swipes are right at that line where a little more might injure. OK, there's my feline & canine psychoanalysis of Ezra and Nova's playtime! What wonderful videos!

Love that comment that they are just like human siblings...and when Ezra is gently coaxed, he goes and lies down in the closet with Nova. So true! Looks like things are pretty darn good in the relationship department. Love their rough housing...good for everyone because it results in cozy cuddles. Parents - well done job of raising your kids! Loved watching the videos and seeing them become friends. I think you did a great job of setting the boundaries initially and taking time to get them to accept each other. Although I think Ezra initially was very suspicious and wary it is now obvious that he has a new companion with whom they can have fun together. Made me smile a lot.

Imagine if you were the only child in the family and along comes this cheeky Kitten. It takes adjustment and time. You guys have done really well. 🐕🐈💗🐾🇦🇺

Usually cats don't have a play level that lets the dog be so....doggie playful. But Nova is right there with him. She might be too much play for many other cats, but she's perfect with Ezra. That's so lovely. If Ezra were ever threatened by a not nice dog, I can just see Nova swooping in out of nowhere to save the day. Nova would not allow her Ezra to come to harm. No ma'am!! ❤❤
So true, we've never seen a cat play with a dog the way she plays with Ezra! Yup, if anyone is going to actually fight and protect, it'll definitely be Nova 🐆💖

We lost my 2 17 y.o. littermates last September and she's definitely not quite herself with them gone. Tho the sibling thing? Ooooeeee, they had that!

A 10 week old kitten adopted me and my little yorkiepoo last July and they play rough too! The same size now and they are really fun to watch like Nova and Ezra.

Wow, this one was unnerving to watch. I was really fearful at first that Ezra would injure Nova--had I been in the house with them, I don't think I would have been able to resist calling time out and separating them. But having seen previous Ezra and Nova vids I reminded myself they'd had time to acclimate, test the boundaries, and bond... Besides, irrepressible tomboy that she is (tomcat that she is???), Nova was giving as good as she got and clearly enjoying the rough play. *Whew! *
Ezra and Nova are so cute together. You have done a wonderful job getting them used to each other. I have lived with wonderful dogs and cats for many decades and it takes a lot of patience as the parents of fur babies to integrate a new pet into the family. You did it really well. They will now be best friends for life !!!!

My hubby and I foster rescue kittens - newborns and babies - we bottle feed them and love them until they are ready for adoption. This was such a precious story to watch. I love it when animals come to love each other and they show it by cuddling each other like these two do. Best of luck with both of them.

Cats are friendlier with dogs during the winter because they use them as heated pillows. Once summer sets in, they chase the dogs away. Pure utilitarianism. 😻😺😈
Tend to get worn out just watching them.

in case you haven't found out, bengals are VERY flexible. don't be surprised if they get under the 3in gap under the lounge chair. ours would run stick legs out the side and slide under.. adults
