@@ELDESTBuilds thanks! Do you have any videos of you actually cleaning the block and heads? I have a 1977 fiat spider 124 that I’m about to pull the motor and transmission.
Sorry, I didn't run any video for that. Degrease it, wipe it down with, MEK, grind off anything you don't want, like casting lines and such. Then, start the polishing process with the scuff pads. This goes for block and head. Paint the block your color of choice. The best video I have to show is this. The alternator clean up video shows you kinda how I did it. ua-cam.com/video/vJzucQrOozU/v-deo.html
See the alternator clean up video, there are different colors of discs rated at different coarseness, like sandpaper numbers. I used these to clean and polish the parts.
I got a head gasket from vickauto, and the owners manual says that the side that says alto faces up, but on this head gasket it doesn’t say anything. Does it matter what side goes up? Thanks.
Did you ever remove that ancillary shaft? I want to see what it looks like. A friend of mine and I are replacing timing belt on a 76 Lancia Scorpion 1.8 L and wanted see what that shaft looks like. Thanks.
Muchas gracias por los vídeos.. excelente trabajo ❤❤
De nada, me alegro que te guste.
14;30 “Turn on your fan, all of a sudden you’re wearing clothes” 😂😂😂 excellent videos. Extremely helpful. Good camera angles. Thx!!
Thanks buddy
Nice rodent nest find too.
One of many I found
That drain plug is supposed to use the same allen head 10mm as the cam covers. Yours definitely has seen better days. Lucky they are cheap.
I think the drain plug is 12mm same as the transmission
What is cleaning with brown disc?
