California Dave did great! Good into Lewi. I do miss Troy. I really think you guys can fix this situation with an 8x8 type deal. Have your agent talk to his 😉
hi guys, im an ebay seller of mostly low end cards in Canada and we dont have the tracked shipping at 1$. I still use stamps but when i ship to USA a lot of buyer ask me the tracking number because they think we have the same shipping service. The lowest tracked service we have is 7-8$.I had a lot of claims for cards not received like Dave too. Thanks for the great show!
Wow, that is brutal. I really wish we could figure out an affordable shipping solution between the U.S. and Canada for lower value cards. Thanks for chiming in!
As a Canucks collector, it goes Trevor Linden, Pavel Bure, Sedins, current stars(EP40, Quinn, JT, Demko etc.). People outside of Vancouver, will not understand why Trevor Linden is #1. But he is a clear #1.
Hi Josh. I love your stated confusion on the Suzuki tribute YG. It's a very interesting debate. I often argue that many rookie cards will not be as coveted in the future, precisely because auto tributes may be printed in perpetuity and equally coveted, notably in higher end products as a SP. "Rookie card" less and less presupposes greater inherent value. Would someone prefer a McDavid base YG or a Cup or SPA Acetate Auto Tribute RC SSP on better technology printed in the future? Tastes and technologies shift drastically in real-time, and there is recency and scarcity bias. As for naming conventions, there will always be confusion around RC, Retro, Throwback, Tribute, Update, etc. In fact, I could counter-argue that the Suzuki YG Outburst "Retro," while strictly speaking is a tribute, might be defined an update, assuming they print 2019-20 on the back. UD would have to create an Update entry on the 2024-25 checklist, and inform collectors that retroactively there are now 2019-20 Outbursts. Otherwise, to your point, the Suzuki is a tribute, just like a Clear Cut Future Watch Auto is a tribute, the "outburst" being akin to an "acetate" tribute. Those owning actual YGs, regardless, will be upset by card saturation (due to collector saturation). And who gets to be the gatekeeper of what is "real" or "true" would be up to the market, ideally not some cabal like Beckett. I don't mind a bit of confusion around the nomenclature, as collectors themselves can articulate how to interpret their own cards, or personally value them a true or untrue RC. (Lettering on the back as opposed to numbering often helps.) But, we might suggest to UD to simply post a straightforward terminology glossary on their website, as the distinctions should not be too hard to articulate. I could equally argue such glossaries can be as important to collectors as checklists, in terms of understanding our cards.
Will Upper Deck ever realize collectors don't give a rip about inserts. Every set is getting more and more. I miss the days when in there flagship boxes, you could get a 6 YG's, 2 jersey cards and the chance at a auto. The prices have gone up the last few years, with what I hate to say is less value for the price. Why would I want to have to go to the secondary market and buy a Patrice Bergeron Outburst insert YG, when I could buy the real YG for the same price. I feel Upper Deck forgot what collecots want.
The downside of Ebay PWE with tracking is that they don't update the tracking thru the process. I've had plenty of items that were shipped that way where the tracking updates stopped after it was somewhere in the process and the buyer either confirmed it was received (70%) or reported it lost (30%). USPS is the way to go to avoid that instance
I sell on ebay, I'm in Canada. I sell to the States often without any issue. Why is it so hard to send up to Canada. I can send a single card down the states easily for under $5CDN.
Really glad you guys are starting an official segment that reviews hall of famers.
Glad you enjoyed!

Appreciate your input, great to hear from fans of each team!
I was thinking Linden too (I hate the Canucks). Though I wasn't sure what his hobby market would be.

Interesting, hearing that Kane & Toews will be in the Renewed Young Guns and I PC Blackhawks Young Guns, I'll be looking to pick those up.
Great show, boys. Phil, good luck to the Senators! I think they'll be a solid club this season.
Don't egg him on lol! Thanks for the comment :)

Appreciate you adding to the convo. 30% lost is tough man.

Topps does the NHL stickers for Topps NOW in regards to your viewer question
Yes, thanks always forget that!

I believe bees don't have knees and that is the gist
Ahh....thanks lol!
The PMG Mount Rushmore...😅
lol kinda!
I really don't like the retro YGs or tributes. I think it confuses collectors and dilutes the value of the originals. Come up with something new.
Thanks for adding to the conversation!
Hobby was destroyed. Too many parallels. Too many printed. Sell sell sell.
what is Phil's epack username?
Whats up Kman! The Loud Collector is my epack name!
@@theloudcollector I'll take a look maybe we can make some deals
