    You can now get all of the current videos and podcasts on a 64 Gig flash drive. About 420 video files and 100 podcasts. You can order one from campbellteaching.co.uk This saves ordering individual disks, its all on the one flashdrive. Best wishes, John

      The link doesn't seem to be working right. There's a message at the top left corner of the screen saying "no, go away"!? I was hoping to order the 64 Gig flash drive so I can watch these lectures at home. *Edit I've found this link on Google campbellteaching.co.uk/ and it's working so I guess the unencrypted link no longer works.

    Dr John, I've been following your videos all through the Pandemic. Now I have a heart arrhythmia & I'm doing some revision in order to better understand my condition ( it's been a very long time since I retired from nursing!). I was looking at a cardiology presentation, & then spotted your videos...amazed to see the much younger you, talking about blood pressure. I knew you are a good teacher, but this video conformed it! Thank you for the way you make the complicated better understood!

    so I understand that when the size of the vessel decreases, the blood pressure shud go up. But if this is true. . .then the blood pressure in the capillaries should be the greatest, since the vessel is the smallest.
    but then i'm guessing that we have to figure in cardiac output. . .cardiac output must be VERY low if the pressure in the capillaries isn't to burst (since BP here should be high). . .otherwise i feel like the capillaries are going to be damaged.
    so altho capillary BP should be high, b/c of the VERY low cardiac output, the overall BP in capillaries is low...hence we don't feel a strong pulse distally in say the fingertips like we do proximally in say the femoral artery.

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  8 років тому +4

      +oopalonga No, although each capillary is narrow, the total cross sectional area is much greater, because there are so many billions of capillaries. In other words, the circulatory system becomes wider, as the vessels narrow.

    How is one to treat people who space scientists now say are sensitive to what researchers are learning from studying space weather. One person we know who was diagnosed with extremely high BP reading one day learned that on that particular day the space weather people warned that the planet in her area was hit with a huge solar flare of energy they said could adversely affect biological systems. A few days later the patient took her blood pressure and it had returned to a more normal reading. Because of this she did not want to take the drugs the doctors had recommended until she learned more about her sensitivity to fluctuations in space weather they believe has something to do with a vagus nerve response to changes in the atmospheric conditions. An east indian doctor, who studies cases of people experiencing 'kundalini rising', also says to be careful about getting too excited about a high reading as drugs may be contraindicated in some cases. He claims that an active kundalini from the practice of kundalini yoga, or just a spontaneous event, can periodically cause a very high B.P. reading and he feels that much more medical study has to go into understanding kundalini as a natural 'biological evolutionary process' and not necessary an illness as such, but needs to be treated differently from traditional applications of drugs by Western medicine.
