What a fine fellow!
Hey im 13 and restore old antique radios from the 20s to 40s and have a pretty big collection of them.
You are proof there is hope for the next generation!👍
Do you feel you owned them in a previous life?
You lucky, lucky person. Being emotional about them going is understandable.
My wife put her foot down at 3.
May your Father rip 🌹🙏
It’s paradise.
Wow, that's awesome 👌
Can’t even use a phone from 20 years ago but a radio from 100 years ago, no worries. Analogue technologies shouldn’t be shut down.
I wonder if he has a pre-Sarnoff FM radio. When Howard Armstrong was trying to get his discovery of FM off the ground, the frequencies used for the FM broadcast band were much different. David Sarnoff, the President of RCA and one time friend of Armstrong, lobbied the FCC to change FM's frequencies, with the sole intent of putting Armstrong out of business by making all his original FM radios obsolete. And the FM broadcast band today still uses those frequencies to this day, even though Sarnoff's claims of better reception have long since been proven false. Sarnoff's war against Armstrong eventually led to Armstrong's death by suicide. Nice going, Dave.
