i'm so glad michelle is calling out this inexcusable behaviour. what is this world coming to? women drinking WATER and hooking up with MEN in this day and age???!! she should know better. (in all seriousness, michelle needs a freaking reality check.)
The story according to Michelle: A woman comes to a bar alone to find male companionship and doesn't want to risk becoming intoxicated. Yeah.... Crazy....
I’m going to assume she’s not conventionally pretty, which is why it’s shocking that she can get guys to go home with her. A lot of them apparently. Why do I think she might not be conventionally pretty? Most of the time when someone is joking about someone being a serial killer or kidnapper, the person isn’t good looking. No one who has a hot weird friend thinks she’s kidnapping people, she’s just a little “quirky!”. Her friend, who is conventionally beautiful, also notes that they dont look the same, but one of them is getting hate for the exact same actions they both do (ordering water and not tipping). And finally, if a hot girl goes home with a lot of different guys it’s “well yeah, she’s hot” but a girl not deemed “pretty enough” does it, people get jealous
It's very easy to get people to go home with you. I don't know why the bartender doesn't understand this, she should, she's a woman. Like, I have a friend who went through some shit after her partner died, and she was able to pick up any aged man at any bar any time after that and she's not 'conventionally' attractive, she even talked about it during a band show, how easy it is. @@MysticalBlueRse
@@MysticalBlueRse It's sad how true this is. I think it's also very telling that she was called "crazy water bitch" instead of just "water girl" or something..... It's a very normal thing for girls to use selfies as phone wallpaper/lock screens idk maybe I'm reading into it too much but it feels like she just.... didn't think the girl was "pretty enough" to be taking pictures of herself..... That's the only reason I can think of for being SHOCKED a girl had a selfie on her phone...
It’s really alarming the way she demonizes people who use substances, “does someone with meth have teeth like this” (like first of all Jesus Christ that’s awful to say), and as a bartender I would hope she would have a shred of empathy. Like she serves substances at a safe use location, that’s literally what a bar is.
Any recovering alcoholic can tell you that alcohol is one of the worst substances to be addicted to. Alcohol and alcoholism are SO incredibly normalized in the US.
i hate the fact that she gets accused of using substances like meth and her first instinct is to degrade addicts. it cannot be that hard to just clarify you don’t use it. why must you put down other people and especially their looks? people can still be using substances and don’t have immediate deterioration to the visible parts their body. that entire video felt ignorant and condescending despite the fact that she serves alcohol and it is the most commonly used addictive substance
@@mr.bingusthecat spoiler alert it’s because she’s defensive and didn’t know what to say and didn’t take the time to think about it. She has made videos before about her husbands. Very dangerous drinking problem almost getting them robbed so honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some issues with substance and limitations in that family. Not going to say anything more than that, because struggling with substance use disorder does not make you less of a person, but just saying wouldn’t be surprised if she was
I personally think how someone speaks about addicts, homeless people, generally the less fortunate is a good meter on their empathy skills and if their a good person🙊
I would honestly be surprised if the bar doesn't fire her at the end of all of this. she seems confident that they wont but after a while the tanking reviews and loss of patrons has to be detrimental to the business. idk why they would bother keeping her on board.
Plus, sis is clearly making videos at work about the clientele. I can’t imagine any job being down with that. I’d think that taking this to the owner/ manager of the bar would be way more fruitful.
As an autistic person I can confirm if people describe weird serial killer like behaviour, there is always some ignorant ass who says ‘they could be on the spectrum’. Frighteningly, it happens with almost every mass shooter too. It’s usually people who think they’re being thoughtful, but in reality still associate people who are very violent only with the weird, socially awkward, etc etc. Michelle also does that thing, which is really common of saying ‘I would never mock someone for being on the spectrum’. But she will mock people who don’t interact socially the way most people do. Gee, I wonder what group that affects?! People like her are a major part of the reason why I hate the phrase ‘on the spectrum’.
Is there a phrase you prefer using? I’m autistic too and usually just say I’m on the spectrum, but I’m curious to know if there’s a different way to say it!
@@rebeccat7912I usually just say I’m autistic. I don’t have a problem with other autistic people using it, if it works for you. I don’t know why but ‘on the spectrum’ just makes me picture two gossipy old women discussing a misbehaving child.
aka she makes it clear that for her autistic people aren't even people cause if michelle's only able to "not judge" (which I think we can all agree her "not judging" is just not vocalizing her disdain) someone being socially awkward is if she KNOWS for a fact they're neurodivergent is like literally switching the symptoms from the diagnosis and thinking she has a pass on judging people regardless. Is 2023, is really not that hard to just not judge people on basis of them not acting the same as you and make a video mocking them in a very clear display of humiliating them to make yourself feel better and stablish superiority OVER A RANDOM PERSON (which also kinda serves as a why she made the spectrum comment in the first place, she knows people will go harder on her for publicly humiliating someone who's for sure a minority)
As a bartender: 1. It’s insane to post a public video talking badly about one of your customers 2. There are SO many terrible and genuinely crazy people to tell stories about on a nightly basis, why would you single out a girl ordering water???
This is exactly what I was thinking as I was watching this lmao I'm a bartender too. On Friday night (a band night) I served both: long lost brothers meeting for the first time through 23 and Me, and an insanely dysfunctional family, the two daughters of which started actual, punching-inclusive fistfighting over a tambourine, of all things, while the mom was screaming into the face of my coworker who was trying to break them up. The lead singer of the band stopped the music and, in front of a packed house, told them he'd end the show right there if they didn't stop. I have more interesting stories than someone not tipping for a water anyday (one lady got angry at me the first time I took care of her because apparently everyone else knows she doesn't eat 'the color red,' but I didn't. People are wild).
hell, I'm not even a bartender and have crazier stories than "this girl got an item we sell that most people don't get" That bartender either knows her personally or is a bully that peaked in high school
@@kathydodge8028 I literally had a lady today who wanted me to shake her margarita in a glass cup, as well as not use any metal measuring glass, spoon, or strainer because she “has an alloy sensitivity” ????
Same, can think of hundreds, even working at a McDonald's I had beer cans thrown at my head in drive thru on an almost nightly basis. When it comes to harrowing customers in customer facing jobs, someone who just gets water doesn't even break the top 2000. And the ableist comment is especially horrible. Shame on this bartender.
She could literally end it with a simple vid saying "i was wrong using autism as a mockery. I will take time off to learn from this mistake. Thank you for calling me out on it. I publicly apologize sincerely to the women i offended and have reached out to speak to her privately." But no. She retaliated with "maybe im on the spectrum too lol 🤪"
Sia did the same thing with music. It's like Blair White uncle ruckus etc just because you have the identity of the people you're hurting doesn't mean you aren't hurting them it's so cringe
She never shamed her husband, her husband brought back a robber to their house while being drunk. And she posted videos defending him and being very condescending and rude to ppl who said he's not a good father or husband.
as someone who's worked in restaurants/bars, every employee talks shit about weird/rude customers. I'm not saying it's right to do that, but airing it out for content was fucked up
Yeah this was my thought. I think that there’s a difference between the talk allowed behind the counter and the talk allowed in public. I’ve said stuff to my coworkers about customers that was judgy, that was rude, and that I wouldn’t say anywhere else. Like, “Oh the family that orders a million f*cking entrees online every other night, start wearing a damn condom” Is that a nice thing to say? No. Did the customer actually do anything wrong by ordering food from a restaurant? No. Is it right to say that? Probably not. But when you’re in the middle of a rush, you’ve been on your feet for 8+ hours, and you’re barely making rent, sh*t talk gets you through the shift And I think a lot of tiktok drama (like this one, but also similar criticisms about other customer service providers) starts when people forget that you shouldn’t take that kind of talk from out behind the counter.
@@TheElf_Onlinehonestly it depends on if you’re doing it like she was, making wild accusations that could make it back to them, and perpetuating extremely dangerous stereotypes about both autistic people and trying to be sober
If it was like a customer that tried to fight employees or something yeah I'd understand sharing that story but,,, a girl that orders water and meets guys
As an autistic person, the moment I heard "I don't think she's on the spectrum" I audibly gasped. No she didn't just go there 🫣😡 Why is it always fucking autism as an excuse for behavior people dislike?!? (Rhetorical question, I know why 😓)
as another autistic person I wasn't even surprised. so many neurotypical people see difference as a threat. I hope one day that changes, but as it stands, this bartender is awful
As an autistic person, I don’t get why people are mad about that bc before she even said that I was literally in my head like “maybe she’s just autistic”. The reason has nothing to do with this ladies crazy serial killer allegations, it’s bc she was making fun of her mannerisms and the way she took photos. Those are two extremely common things for autistic people to be made fun of and extremely ableist. She realized she was being ridiculous and tried to bite it before being called out and ofc it didn’t work out…
it’s wild bc usually people who make fun of their work DONT openly say where they work/have worked (such as a lot barista or server related content creators). how you think you could do this and still state exactly your location and literal schedule… smh
Lmao right? The most info I'll give about my job is that I manage a coffee shop, partially for my/my team's safety and partially so I CAN share the occasional funny or wholesome story that comes by my counter. Reads to me like Michelle is just desperate for fame to a sad extent tbh, like she wants to be famous so badly she doesn't care how much personal info she gives out.
As someone who's been bullied for being on the spectrum, it was really shitty of her to joke that she was a *serial killer* and insinuating that she was autistic. Just because your on the spectrum, it doesn't mean that your a "future serial killer" or "a potential serial killer" or some shit and being on the spectrum doesn't automatically turn you into one. I've dealt with an enormous amount of bullying and was made fun of for being autistic for *years* during elementary, middle, AND high school because one POS elementary school teacher thought it would be a fun idea to whisper to everyone in her class that "oooooo, that kid's autistic. you wouldn't want to play with them" and "you sure you want to hang out with them? I've heard they're an autistic." The only way I found out about this was through a friend many years later. According to my friend, apparently because she did that, a ton of kids in the elementary school spread around what the teacher said about me and unbeknownst to me, was the causation of the intense and cruel bullying I've received on a daily basis from the kids at the elementary school. The teachers and principals didn't do anything about it and brushed off *every single* of my reports of bullying to them and I even ended up getting suspended a couple times because a group of kids got together to repeatedly spread lies of their *own* to the principal that I did some shit that I didn't do to get back at me for trying to report them to the teacher. After receiving all of the vicious bullying during elementary school, young me thought **I** was the problem and thought I could restart fresh at middle school. BIG MISTAKE. Because the middle school was in the same area as my previous school and everyone from elementary school graduating and going to that middle school, the bullying continued. I know I should've asked my parents to move me to a different school, but because I blamed myself for all the bullying I've received (and didn't know that I was being bullied because I was autistic and I didnt even KNOW that I WAS autistic until my dad told me during HS), I thought the problem was *me* and didn't speak up to my parents about wanting to attend a different school. And by the time I DID ask them to have me attend a school that was farther away from the elementary+middle school for when I start attending high school, because everyone at the HS already had tight friend groups prior to HS and I wasn't apart of any, I had no way of making any new friends as any attempt to chat with them was met with cold stares (for context, at the school ppl a part of friend groups tended to ignore and avoid anyone outside of their friend groups, even their friends' friends, so trying to chat with ppl and making new friends as someone who didn't know anyone there was very difficult). After year 2 of HS, I gave up on making friends and poured all my time into studying, reading, and making art. Towards the end of HS, when my friend told me the reason why I was getting bullied all those years ago, I was shocked. I asked my dad if I was autistic, and he told me that I was autistic but didn't want to tell me. After finding out that I was autistic and me being on the spectrum was the reason for me getting bullied for years, suddenly it all made sense. Fast forward a couple years into the future, after a few years of attending college, my mental health finally collapsed to rock bottom from all the shit I went through and from the grief of having little to no friends and only in ***2023*** that I've finally was able to start slowly but steadily recovering and trying to build up my self-esteem and get that drive to pursue my dreams again. After I sought a therapist and talked to them about what happened and how it affected me, it helped me realize that I got severe PTSD and I'm currently on a road to recovery. Bullying is NO JOKE and it can deeply affect them and SCAR them for life, so the bartender putting that poor person on blast and making jokes that they were a serial killer and autistic to her massive tktok platform is deeply messed up.
I’m Aussie, alcoholism is our national identity. On learning I’m sober sally, people stop mid-sentence & give me the glassy eyed 1000 yard stare. *hiccup* “that’s so weird like…how do you have fun and shit?” My response in uni was always “you see me here chatting & laughing, fucking around with everyone? I get it. The first step is admitting it- even if it’s to yourself. I’ll be here to listen when you’re ready_ Or course I’m being a smartarse but I have actually had a few people come back & say that they kept thinking about it & are cutting some the booze (I ought to start a cult with that persuasiveness 😂) The tipping culture in America is wild to me. You’re giving me a CSI glass with fingerprints all over it & some chlorinated tap water & I’m meant to be paying? That’s the craziest thing in this whole story right there 😂
Yeah, I think most Americans agree that tipping for a glass of water is insane. I’ve heard it’s not even free in Europe and water is free here. But tipping in America in general? Sorry, but if I’m gonna go to a spot where somebody’s getting paid slave wages I think my ancestors would be a little mad. If I just let them be my servant and sat back and didn’t pay them shit. I have the choice to find a bunch of restaurants that do pay their workers, but it would severely limit my options, and I do advocacy with the government on top of it. So I choose to just go to those establishments and pay those people what they deserve because I always have the option not to take their slavery/service.
@@daniellecowan459 That's reasonable as long as there's discourse about how messed up it is that people aren't paid proper wages and instead rely on tips that people can choose not to pay to make a living. I'm from NZ and I agree with the Aussie on this one. Tipping should be an optional additional thing that you get on top of your regular (not slave wages) pay for exceptional service.
it doesn't suck that she never tips! she only orders water.. seriously, what's there to tip for?! You're pouring water into a glass for two seconds and handing it to her, not mixing a cocktail or anything fancy like that. that's literally the bare minimum job as a bartender ffs! (speaking as a service worker who gets tips myself btw)
Right? I always got free soda when I was DD. The bartender was usually super happy someone was staying sober to babysit and had brought the other (paying) customers to the bar. It's basically a win for everyone? Besides my personal loathing of tipping culture (don't worry, I still tip) because providers should be already making good wages, this just makes Michelle come off as greedy. Shouldn't she be happy that Water Woman is luring desperate men to buy drinks in her establishment? And then disposing of the swine after? j/k on the last part, but seriously I don't get why she's mad.
@@CandiceChettano, not for something that is already the easiest part of the job you’re being paid for. If the person was putting in effort to make a drink and enhancing my experience, then of course they get a tip. But for pouring water into a glass, no. Edit: also “asking for labour” is such a crazy mindset… like you are literally at your job, how are you offended at being asked to “do labour”😂
the tip thing is kinda iffy because i would NOT tip when getting FREE WATER and would consider tipping when getting a soda IF the bartender was nice and held a conversation….they literally just squirt some coke out of a soda gun 💀
I think what this story really was was just one of those things people with jobs like bartending do, making up funny stories about regulars to give you entertainment to get you through the night. One of those things that bartenders talk about and joke about while on break for a laugh or two, it's mean sometimes, but it's all done in the name of just making each other laugh. The problem is that those stories should 1) never be taken seriously, 2) DO NOT LEAVE YOUR COWORKERS, and 3) ARE NOT GROUNDS FOR A CALLOUT ON THE INTERNET, what the hell?!
I’m sorry but I’m NOT tipping on water when 9/10 it’s free. And here in Austin idk how it is there if you order at a bar 20% tip in included automatically on your bill. So maybe she don’t tip unless she’s actually paying for something.
Yeah if you come by my cafe and ask for a water, I'm not gonna expect a tip. It's WATER. Literally all I did was grab a cup and fill it up, that's not exactly tip-worthy. I don't care if you come by every day and do the same dang thing, everyone deserves a glass of water!
@@aliencafecan’t that be said about any drink tho? If it’s a beer they’re just pouring it in a glass or opening a can. Same with simple drinks. It’s the labor.
I feel that way as well. People already always filming these days. And if it's not someone with a phone or a camera it's a cop looking to mess up your day for walking to work or to the store, fun times in 2023
Why on earth should she have to tip if she’s only getting a water, tipping culture is insane 💀 it’s not like the bartender had to even mix anything together… it’s almost like you signed up for a job that pays you hourly so not everyone has to tip… that’s why it’s optional 🙄 maybe get a better job if you have to rely on tips/it matters that much to you
You saying someone who only orders a soda needs to also tip is just proof how stupid tipping culture is…why do ppl expect you to pay the employees, who’s job it is, extra just to do their job when you’re already paying for the product… 💀 MAYBE! Just maybe! it should be the government’s job to provide liveable wages instead of relying on other citizens to make up for your lost pay/wages
Giving nicknames to customers is such a fun thing to do tho lol.I speak Dutch so it’s different when translating but I remember we had 2 elder female customers who used to come regularly to a tea room I worked at, we called them ‘the tea-sisters’ (or ‘de thee zussen’ in Dutch). And sure we had some more nicknames it was kinda fun but it was between coworkers to have a little fun. But WHY POST A VIDEO for the ENTIRE internet to see it??! Like seriously how rude could you be?! Posting a video publicly changes the entire demeanour. It changed from giving your customers an innocent funny nickname as a little joke to truly talking shit behind a customer back. Really rude:/
Exactly. And sometimes the nicknames are well deserved, but calling someone a serial killer and then equating literal serial killers to people on the spectrum, because the customer in question ordered water, is absolutely insane of this bartender to do. Especially if it's just because "we never see those people again" like?? It's a fucking bar? You're gonna serve at least a hundred people you'll never see again. Dissing your regulars for that is insane.
I just wanna say that the tipping culture in America is kinda weird, instead of pressing people for not tipping get on the government/business for not paying the workers enough to live off of. Not saying tipping is a bad thing, I just think it’s weird how people get attacked for not doing it when they don’t have any ill intentions and just don’t tip.
And how do you suggest those people put food on their table? Voting in a election every year is not going to do that unless you’re actively only going to restaurants that pay people the proper minimum wage, attending rallies every weekend or writing your Congress person or something like that that shit is just a copout. How are you going to go to an establishment and support them And give them money when you know that they treat their workers poorly and then just be like well that has nothing to do with me. If you want better treatment go to the government? No, you’re voting with your dollars and if you have enough money to do that you can give somebody a tip
As an American who grew up poor and probably wouldn't have had lunch money if my dad hadn't gotten tips at one of his 3 jobs, I completely agree. I think tipping is fine for exceptional service and special treatment, but it's no longer that. Tips have become wages which defeats the whole point of a tip. Definitely should target the ones who created that situation and not the person directly tipping. Besides, if she'd been nice, I bet she would have gotten a tip. Really she's just telling on herself about how she's bad at her job.
Not tipping exploited employees doesn't put pressure on the government or ownership. You are punishing the exploited wage worker when you don't tip, period.
@@CandiceChettaits not punishment its just that we are all broke, though I tip when warranted logically everyone already gets massive wages taken out of there checks from the government so most people don’t want to take open taking more by tipping everywhere they go as the government could be giving more or taking less as it would benefit everyone so people could tip more or people soundly need to rely on yipping, and tipping for just water is kind of crazy through she is there every week night so she could tip every once in a while (my opinion)
If you really thought someone was preying on dudes at your bar and unaliving them, maybe you should call the cops? (Side note, unless these were regulars that have gone missing, I tend to like to ask potential suitors I'm meeting for the first time to meet at a local establishment near me for convenience. These are people who are probably not going back to that establishment again unless we get into a relationship. Also if it's a first meeting, I tend to also just order water bc I wanna make sure my head's on right. Of course I normally dont meet at a bar bc it would be weird to go there to just get water, but there's def a very reasonable explanation) Also only like 2 people I know have their lockscreen be a picture of a loved one. Most of us have some sort of meme/video game background and a few of my friends do have a selfie as their lockscreen bc they really like that pic
I had a teacher say she was her background picture and the class was confused and she told us if she loses her phone and she’s on the lock screen it’s gonna be easier to get back/someone to recognize who it belongs to
This whole situation was handled so weirdly and badly. Michelle was gross for what she said and she should probably be chillin in the unemployment line ASAP, but the friend is also pretty crazy for thinking that some internet mean girl shit would be grounds for going to the cops. Not gonna lie, I laughed out loud when she went "I'm gonna show the cops this video, because this is bullying!"
Yeah running and crying to the cops like they're going to do anything is really funny too it's like when people get shit stolen from them and think the cops are going to help them find it.
@@mothermakeup7481I think it depends on where she was raised/where she comes from. Where I live tipping isn’t that common so it could be a cultural thing

Ordering water at a bar is anxiety inducing for some weird reason lol. Most bars poor juices from their automated dispensers. I prefer cranberry juice. When I'm at the blackjack tables, I'll order milk over ice. For my ulcer;)

Its one thing to gossip to coworkers about regulars, but its another to say they were autistic (after describing her as a serial killer) and posting a video on the internet to your many followers who know where you work. Just odd
i absolutely adore austin, i want to be in the loop about niche internet topics without participating in gossip and you do an amazing job of explaining the entire situation including the nuances
I'm surprised the bar hasne fired her. Like most people know the bar has a bartender that will insult you by possibly calling you crazy or make albeist comments about you

Check out Drew Talbot. He did a super lovely video about a lovely customer who is introduced to all the new comers because he is lovely and will happily share their special interest, which is that he knows the headline of every newspaper date. Really awesome social inclusion content, subtle and kind.
It blows my mind she even thinks that someone just ordering a water is even worth making a TikTok. I work at a smoothie bar and we regularly have people that just come in to grab snacks or our hot food, and those are the customers I enjoy the most because their orders are quick. Really weird for someone to complain about something that doesn’t inconvenience them in any way
This woman is just simply crazy. She is a bully and dont care about her kids safety. Her husband is from what i undersand from HER storys is an alkoholic that let a strange man into thier house at 3 am. They are both crazy and im just sad for the kids
I comment on so many of her shorts because she likes to drink while working along with her coworkers. They say they are “tasting” the drink to see if it’s good, but drinking over half the glass in one gulp is not a “tasting”
As someone who works in a restaurant/bar, yes employees talk shit and vent about customers being weird to your coworkers, but it’s mostly to vent and let out frustrations amongst your peers. (Not however degrading someone for something inconsequential or being ableist/racist etc) It is another thing entirely to publicly post to the entire world about your customers. Especially when they aren’t actually doing anything terrible/harmful to you.
Bartenders should be more than happy to provide people soda and water with or without tip, and generally are in my experience. I’m sober and usually DD and bartenders don’t even charge me most of the time. I still tip personally but come on…. Most bartenders are VERY nice and accommodating to the DD
I basically said the same thing in another comment! Bartenders were ALWAYS super nice to me even when I offered to pay for a soda. Even if she wasn't DD, there's absolutely no reason for her to judge or publicly slander someone like that. Even the way she reenacted herself asking what this person wanted to drink was catty. I wouldn't tip a bitch like Michelle either (ok, maybe like $1 as an insult) even if I'd had her fix me up a fancy drink. Does Michelle not understand that BEING NICE is the bare minimum for a server? She's not entitled to a tip, especially one she didn't actually do any extra work for
Is this not the same bartender who’s husband came home with a stranger and put her and her children’s safety at risk and then laughed it off by saying “oh haha he just gets toooooo drunk lol 🤪”
Damn. As a Raleighite, who is also on the spectrum and does like going out/seeking to go more places, happy to know where not to go, looked that place up and … 💀💀yeah there’s bars that are just as lively that I’d think would be… less alienating
My cousin, her best friend, and i went to that bar around a couple months ago and we left early bc Michelle was rude to my cousin’s friend for no apparent reason. It was like she just picked her to be an asshole to for the night. Had no idea there was a whole controversy surrounding her lmao
Does she not understand you can be an addict and NOT look like one??? That’s stigma. She must not have heard of a functional addict either. Someone who pretends they are okay, but actually are struggling with an addiction behind their “put together” persona.
Out of prior controversies, I don't underatand how her reckless posting of her schedule and someone Else doxxing her is something she did? She obciously was not very social media literate, but she didn't do anything to invite someone to DOXX her home address????
About the tipping thing: she did say she does social media work for them. It’s really not that big of a deal imo that she doesn’t tip a place she literally works for.
this woman is ridiculous. shes beyond ignorant and the only reason i am glad she isnt fired is so that she can pay for her kid's expenses. shes too grown to be engaging in petty rumors + drama on the internet. some people never grow up
As a semi verbal autistic person the way the Spectrum comment went down was beyond okay. It’s just so classic for how we are treated. Autistic femme’s are the most misunderstood of autistic people too. We are so badly represented and totally misunderstood. Most people don’t know how at risk autistic people are. Too often we get attacked by cops and crushed to death (it’s a common occurrence) because us finding it hard to communicate and not being able to read social cues easily leads to us being treated so damn badly. It’s exhausting and why I basically don’t go out at all ever. I have had to deal with people who work at bars and cafe’s having a go at me for not being good at verbalising and wanting to chat to them. I have a hard time talking to my closest friends and my carer, I can’t easily speak to people I don’t know. I am always really polite but I just end up with people being gross about me not being able to be peppy and talk a bunch. Have to say I really enjoy that you often break news early and you do such a great job of it. You are fast becoming one of my favourite people on here and people I used to enjoy just don’t match up to how well you explain things without filling it with fluff. Thank you for your hard work.
I really don't think it's that crazy not to tip if you're just getting water. It's not like they're making a whole drink for you, they're just getting tap water. I think it'd even be a bit much to charge for that. It would probably be annoying for bartenders, but honestly, they'll get tips from making real drinks and getting tap water every so often isn't really that difficult.
Honestly I’m shocked by a few things 1- she has not been fired. I mean people know the business, I guess she may have fans but this is just a small bump the negative reviews are way worse down the line. 2- I’m still surprised that no-one is saying “hey dufus, just because someone is on the spectrum doesn’t mean they’re a freaking serial killer”
if this lady really did come in and just ask for a couple glasses of water why would she even tip anyways? it’s not particularly complicated, barely even part of the bartenders job, they’re not mixing and it’s not a memorized drink. I even assume the water is free. entitled behaviour.
Saying someone is "weird" is am opinion. Saying someone is keeping mem in their basement, and possibly deleting the is in fact slanderous. So this should be documented.
i completely agree that tipping shouldn't HAVE to be a mandatory thing and they should just raise employee wages instead, but cmon man, so many workers make their livelihood off tips; just tip people.
Comments like this unintentionally come off as really smug. You’re right, that’s how things should be. But unfortunately that doesn’t change reality for working class people in the US and Canada who rely on tips to survive. So it’s just kinda like, wow thanks why didn’t i think of that before: just change everything…so it becomes better!
tipping for water is ridiculous to me, it really doesn't take skill to pour it in a glass, but whatever I come from a country where you don't need to tip your servers to pay their wage
She made a video in October talking about her husband’s alcoholism and how he was drunk and brought a guy home at like 3Am who was trying to rob them. Everyone began expressing concern for their child after she shared her “funny story.” She then posted about their new security system and posted her new job and schedule. Also in October, she said she journals or writes things down to get in the right mindset for her stories but customers think she’s taking notes on them for some reason. Like yeah I wonder why! Maybe they’ve seen your tiktok
1) she litterally said “she never orders anything”. You won’t have to tip if you don’t order anything. If you want to avoid this, you simply tell the person they have to order something if they’re gonna sit in the bar. Coffee shops do the same, even some fast food chains do this. 2) the woman clearing it up, she said “just bc we don’t look the same”… and I usually don’t like speculation… but does this perhaps mean the girl Michelle was first talking about, is not white.
I mean tipping when you just get a soda is crazy. Like, “okay here’s your 10 cents.” And before anyone comes for me, I always tip appropriately even as a broke college student. But expectations for tipping are actually insane nowadays.

Preying on drunk people while sober is a bad thing to do
It’s really alarming the way she demonizes people who use substances, “does someone with meth have teeth like this” (like first of all Jesus Christ that’s awful to say), and as a bartender I would hope she would have a shred of empathy.
Not going to say anything more than that, because struggling with substance use disorder does not make you less of a person, but just saying wouldn’t be surprised if she was
I personally think how someone speaks about addicts, homeless people, generally the less fortunate is a good meter on their empathy skills and if their a good person🙊
This is nothing. Ive seen people sooooo much worse.

She is just as much an alcoholic as her husband.

@@MsJaytee1975 omg, I can totally see that though 😂😂
aka she makes it clear that for her autistic people aren't even people cause if michelle's only able to "not judge" (which I think we can all agree her "not judging" is just not vocalizing her disdain) someone being socially awkward is if she KNOWS for a fact they're neurodivergent is like literally switching the symptoms from the diagnosis and thinking she has a pass on judging people regardless.
Yep this exactly. I hate these kinds of situations, always being the 'weird person' who doesn't talk a lot to people because I get overwhelmed.

I publicly apologize sincerely to the women i offended and have reached out to speak to her privately."

Yeah this was my thought. I think that there’s a difference between the talk allowed behind the counter and the talk allowed in public. I’ve said stuff to my coworkers about customers that was judgy, that was rude, and that I wouldn’t say anywhere else. Like, “Oh the family that orders a million f*cking entrees online every other night, start wearing a damn condom”
Is that a nice thing to say? No. Did the customer actually do anything wrong by ordering food from a restaurant? No. Is it right to say that? Probably not. But when you’re in the middle of a rush, you’ve been on your feet for 8+ hours, and you’re barely making rent, sh*t talk gets you through the shift
And I think a lot of tiktok drama (like this one, but also similar criticisms about other customer service providers) starts when people forget that you shouldn’t take that kind of talk from out behind the counter.

Reads to me like Michelle is just desperate for fame to a sad extent tbh, like she wants to be famous so badly she doesn't care how much personal info she gives out.
This is why I prefer Drew Talbert.
I’m sorry you had to go through all that, I hope you find a good group of people and healing 💜

So I choose to just go to those establishments and pay those people what they deserve because I always have the option not to take their slavery/service.
tipping for just water is weird but tipping for soda or an actual drink is probably reasonable imo
@@daniellecowan459 That's reasonable as long as there's discourse about how messed up it is that people aren't paid proper wages and instead rely on tips that people can choose not to pay to make a living.
1) I agree completely. 2) TIPPING FOR WATER?!!
Of course I normally dont meet at a bar bc it would be weird to go there to just get water, but there's def a very reasonable explanation)
Also only like 2 people I know have their lockscreen be a picture of a loved one.
I agree! And her admitting she never tips, like it’s something she should be proud of. I think everyone in this situation are immature.
@@mothermakeup7481I think it depends on where she was raised/where she comes from. Where I live tipping isn’t that common so it could be a cultural thing
@@godscomplex13 valid. I’m assuming you aren’t from the US. Tipping is a huge part of our culture. The lady who was bragging about not tipping is from the US.
@mothermakeup7481 tipping is required. It's nice to do but it's no required and should not be expected of customers to do.
People are saying that bar is racist so if they keep her it wouldn't surprise me
my first assumption was that the lady just doesn’t drink and goes to the bar to socialize 💀 like yeah it’s a bar but it’s also a hang out spot
Ordering water at a bar is anxiety inducing for some weird reason lol. This year I realized I'm allergic to alcohol and some people I hang out with will meet a Friday afternoon at a local bar and I still wanna hang so I just order water and I feel so weird doing so but luckily the bartenders are super nice and welcoming.
Most bars poor juices from their automated dispensers. I prefer cranberry juice. When I'm at the blackjack tables, I'll order milk over ice. For my ulcer;)
so she described someones indian culture so badly that people thought she could be talking about someone on the spectrum?????? and she thinks saying this makes her look better???????????????????
I don't think I've ever seen someone who should be told to mind her own damned business by literally everyone she meets.
I really like the structure of your commentary videos!!! Idk why but the summary at the end really helps me think and process out the WILD shiz you cover so often, plus your voice and cadence is pretty calming to listen to while I do housework and such!!! Thank u ❤
Its one thing to gossip to coworkers about regulars, but its another to say they were autistic (after describing her as a serial killer) and posting a video on the internet to your many followers who know where you work. Just odd
Imagine you’re at work and you just see your coworker setting up a ring light , I would walk out
“you should still tip if you only order water” 💀 no you shouldn’t
i absolutely adore austin, i want to be in the loop about niche internet topics without participating in gossip and you do an amazing job of explaining the entire situation including the nuances
I'm surprised the bar hasne fired her. Like most people know the bar has a bartender that will insult you by possibly calling you crazy or make albeist comments about you
How tf can you be a sober queen and drink on occasions 😂
I keep going back to this lmao! The word for that is social drinker, don't think any sober person appreciates being lumped in with this 'sober queen' lol
Really? That’s what you’re focusing on?
Whoooo the hell cares cares if she accidentally worded it wrong, my god.
@@aliencafe Umm as a sober person, I have no problem being “lumped in” with her, as she did LITERALLY NOTHING WRONG. What did she do wrong according to you?!?!
@@allisoncastle why do you care what got or not my attention? Do you need to speak with the manager? 🤣🤣
@@LaNoisette lmao seriously why is she so angry 😆 I got caught up on that too lol how are you sober but drink on occasion? That’s not how it works. Just thought it was funny 😆
How does this woman still have her job? What are the ethics of that bar to keep someone like that employed? Do they just not know or...?
There was zero need to speak on it. She doesn’t know how to handle her platform. Her lack of recognition of the platform she has and what they’ll do is ridiculous. She needs to wake the ef up and stop being an ignorant a double s.
I love being autistic and sober, maybe crap like this is a big part of why we have a hard time getting out there and making new friends 🥴
Check out Drew Talbot. He did a super lovely video about a lovely customer who is introduced to all the new comers because he is lovely and will happily share their special interest, which is that he knows the headline of every newspaper date.
Really awesome social inclusion content, subtle and kind.
You had me for the first part. After the and you lose me. Fuck sobriety.
@@gotmilkbutt I mean, I’ll smoke weed every day no problem, but I HATE feeling any type of nauseous so drinking is a hard pass for me lol
Same! A lot of autistic people struggle with substance addiction due to our obsessive nature so I choose not to drink for my own sanity
@@gotmilkbuttsobriety is the best, wtf are you talking about lmao also autistic ppl should not be smoking pot everyday.
It blows my mind she even thinks that someone just ordering a water is even worth making a TikTok. I work at a smoothie bar and we regularly have people that just come in to grab snacks or our hot food, and those are the customers I enjoy the most because their orders are quick. Really weird for someone to complain about something that doesn’t inconvenience them in any way
Michele is unhinged with this lol, so glad you’re covering it
loved the suppressed smile while saying uncle jessie's honky tonk bar LMAOOOOO
This woman is just simply crazy. She is a bully and dont care about her kids safety. Her husband is from what i undersand from HER storys is an alkoholic that let a strange man into thier house at 3 am. They are both crazy and im just sad for the kids
Damn didn’t know that was also her. Yeah they’re definitely both crazy and hopefully their kids are doing alright
She's not entitled to a tip, especially one she didn't actually do any extra work for
who tf tips for water
Is this not the same bartender who’s husband came home with a stranger and put her and her children’s safety at risk and then laughed it off by saying “oh haha he just gets toooooo drunk lol 🤪”
Damn. As a Raleighite, who is also on the spectrum and does like going out/seeking to go more places, happy to know where not to go, looked that place up and … 💀💀yeah there’s bars that are just as lively that I’d think would be… less alienating
no one cares if you won't tip anyway. why would they care if you came or not
My cousin, her best friend, and i went to that bar around a couple months ago and we left early bc Michelle was rude to my cousin’s friend for no apparent reason.
If Michelle was my bartender/server I wouldn't tip either 😬 people like her are why I sometimes hate tipping
the only thing I knew about her was the husband robbery saga and it's not plainly obvious she's a chronic liar and attention hungry
i remember her also speaking badly about people being in section 8 housing but i never hear anyone talk about that, that was months ago
All of the patrons who go to that bar should just stand together and only order water from now on.
Out of prior controversies, I don't underatand how her reckless posting of her schedule and someone Else doxxing her is something she did? She obciously was not very social media literate, but she didn't do anything to invite someone to DOXX her home address????
i live in raleigh and i feel like drama this ridiculous could only
happen here 😭
I’m not tipping if I’m just getting tap water come the fuck on 💀
did he just gloss over the fact that she claimed to briefly take the customer's phone to look at the lock screen??
The fact that everyone is demanding a tip when the drinks are super expensive. If socializing is tipping a priority this is nuts.
People like this are the exact type of person I think of when I hear "Im 35 and bartend" lmao
About the tipping thing: she did say she does social media work for them. It’s really not that big of a deal imo that she doesn’t tip a place she literally works for.
i work in a restaurant but still tip my coworkers if they’re my server or if they’re making my drinks
austin trying not to laugh as he reads out “uncle jessie’s honky tonk”
I’m so confused when did Michelle ever say her name or describe it was her or her friend I’m so confused🤣🤣
Color me shocked to find out she’s trash in other ways too. Appreciate the bartenders reassuring us. Socializing while autistic is scary enough.
Being a young female bartender. I’ve learned a lot of older catty bartenders are like this
this woman is ridiculous. shes beyond ignorant and the only reason i am glad she isnt fired is so that she can pay for her kid's expenses. shes too grown to be engaging in petty rumors + drama on the internet. some people never grow up
As a semi verbal autistic person the way the Spectrum comment went down was beyond okay.
Why did she think it was a good idea to just blatantly lie about someone who is a consistent customer 😭
Also it’s so uncomfortable that she just checked her phone like that?? Absolutely wild
My picture on my phone lockscreen is a robot from a video game...I don't see how it's weird to have an amusingly average selfie of yourself.
Honestly I’m shocked by a few things
1- she has not been fired. I mean people know the business, I guess she may have fans but this is just a small bump the negative reviews are way worse down the line.
2- I’m still surprised that no-one is saying “hey dufus, just because someone is on the spectrum doesn’t mean they’re a freaking serial killer”
Why would she tip them for pouring a cup of water 🙄 Stop tip culture, make the rich pay fair wages.
0:57 love how austin tries to cover up his laughing 😭
if this lady really did come in and just ask for a couple glasses of water why would she even tip anyways? it’s not particularly complicated, barely even part of the bartenders job, they’re not mixing and it’s not a memorized drink. I even assume the water is free. entitled behaviour.
austin i’m sick rn and ur voice is so chill. like perfect thing for me to watch and just relax
If Michelle really comes in drunk every time, I'd not trust her to make any of my drinks besides water either.
I'm the same age as this bartender and would never act like she has. Like wtf is wrong with her 😮💨
Tipping for a soda is wild to me. 😂I might as well hang around a soda vending machine.
YOU HAVE TO TIP ATLEAST ONCE. OTHERWISE YOU STAY HOME.
@@charliec2966 I tip for goods and services rendered to me by another person. Not to a robot.
Saying someone is "weird" is am opinion. Saying someone is keeping mem in their basement, and possibly deleting the is in fact slanderous. So this should be documented.
tipping for just getting water is crazy
From a country that tipping isnt expected or needed. I shall never tip. How about yall raise the prices a little and give people a livable wage
i completely agree that tipping shouldn't HAVE to be a mandatory thing and they should just raise employee wages instead, but cmon man, so many workers make their livelihood off tips; just tip people.
@@rosuuso Never in my country. No one in my country requires tipping to make a livable wage.
This whole thing was insane lmfaoooo holy shit, Michelle girl please take time OFF OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Water is free at a bar if she never buys any drinks no shit she doesn't tip she shouldn't have to 20% of 0 is 0
tipping for water is ridiculous to me, it really doesn't take skill to pour it in a glass, but whatever I come from a country where you don't need to tip your servers to pay their wage
It's a bummer that bartenders have to rely on tips instead of being properly paid.
That sounds like a normal lock screen
1) she litterally said “she never orders anything”. You won’t have to tip if you don’t order anything. If you want to avoid this, you simply tell the person they have to order something if they’re gonna sit in the bar.
Coffee shops do the same, even some fast food chains do this.
2) the woman clearing it up, she said “just bc we don’t look the same”… and I usually don’t like speculation… but does this perhaps mean the girl Michelle was first talking about, is not white.
the cultural differences comment from Michelle too points to that maybe
I mean tipping when you just get a soda is crazy. Like, “okay here’s your 10 cents.”
And before anyone comes for me, I always tip appropriately even as a broke college student. But expectations for tipping are actually insane nowadays.
*orders water*
Her: are you autistic??!
Damn is wanting water that bad 😂
It's always a good day when Austin posts
I live in Raleigh and hate that this woman is residing in my city. Luckily, I dont go to Five Points area where she works anymore
I think WE SHOULD ALL GO AND JUST SIT AND ORDER WATER EVERYONE ON THE SPECTRUM WITH ME! LET'S GO!
OH WAIT I'M IN OHIO... DARN
All us spectrum folk would really make it so even just being us lol maybe she'll come to my dungeon 😉
I am from a country where tipping is not really normal and I see so many people in America complaining about customers not tipping and I’m like 🥴
