The album was birthed out of a year-long sabbatical, seen in the vulnerable worship and honest reflections that accompanied that time.
The album camps around a constant theme in Asbury's life, the love of God and His unwavering devotion to His children: "The highest king of heaven, chose to love a fool. I don't understand it, but I know I want nothing more than you".

Mr. Cory Asbury, I want to thank you for putting on this rooftop concert. It has been life-changing for me and the lyrics speak to my soul from God through you. Thank you for that. I am a private duty nurse in the home of a little handicapped girl. I have the luxury of putting this concert video on every morning as a worship time with God. My little patient does not talk or do much of anything at all and we do not know what she understands either. I can say though, every morning when I put this on she laughs and smiles and starts kicking her feet and is very happy. We start our day out with this video and play it through once and then most often we play it through again and again. Thank you so much for your music, your musicians, and the peace that your music has brought into my life through God. Please keep it coming!

I have a disabled granddaughter who doesn’t talk. But man does she ever love music! I will play this for her. I just know she will love it too!
when I accepted the Lord, I held off telling my Hindu parents the truth for about 4 months. I didn't want to disappoint them, but my choice was made. I would rather disappoint them than disappoint my Lord. I heard the worst things a parent would say to their kid. "you might as well throw yourself under a bus..." and I broke down. I was annihilated by the reaction of the people I loved the most. At that moment in my darkness, I opened my bible and it landed on Psalm 27. "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me in". After reading it I simply cried myself dry. I could not believe hoe my Lord loved me so much. He never left me and I had his embrace in my worst pain. I have only love for my parents. And after years of negativity from them, they are now slowly coming back in my life. I just want to say that I am loved. I am loved by you Lord! I am so loved that you gave me the most wonderful gift of a loving wife and beautiful kids. My life will always be for Jesus and to Jesus! Thank you, Lord!

Thank you God for using Cory Asbury as your vessel to write these songs. Not only were these difficult times for all of us....not knowing what the future held in the midst of a pandemic and uncertain times in our nation. This album truly leads us through a spiritual journey....from helplessness and despair to surrendering and renewing our faith and hope in our Father who will be there for us no matter what. I realized by listening to this album that I had walked away from God like the Prodigal son (daughter)....I had given up....I was ashamed....feeling like I was not worthy of His love....I know now that God never gave up on me during this time of despair and depression....God was waiting there with open arms to bring me back to Him. God bless you and your family and the band....

Cory....... thank you!!! Your music has gotten me through some tuff waters this year. I am currently walking through some trials and your music has keep me close to God. Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and as I type this now I am trudging through another scheduled biopsy. I have also had 7 surgeries in 3 and a half years. So many times I have wanted to give up and I have felt so distant from Jesus your music helps me feel that connection. So very grateful. I just love how soulful Bethel's music and Cory's music are, they are able to translate what God has to say, or what we have to say with beautiful melody.
I have recently started attending Radiant Church the Church Cory leads worship at. I recently met him at church one Sunday he was the nicest. The man on the keyboard is Caleb Culver the other song writer of Reckless Love. He also leads Worship at Radiant Church. The other musicians are on the worship team at Radiant Church. Kalamazoo Michigan is my hometown.

I received injections for pain a few days ago, praise God they are working, but this. This is the medicine I really needed. Thank you Jesus for speaking through musicians to us. I can’t even put into words how amazing this entire album is. Such beautiful music, lyrics, artistry, and faithfulness. You have such a heavenly voice and I could feel the love of Jesus flowing through your entire being. Most of the views on this video, are probably from me. I can't stop listening to this, so raw. I saw Cory a couple months ago at one of his shows, met him one on one before hand (humble man). This man puts so much emotion into his music and that is absolutely what I adore. Lets not idolize the song or the singer, but the words that come to this mans tongue are exactly that words I can't think of what it comes to sitting before God. I imagine myself sitting before Jesus and just singing to Him. I love that this video went from so causal to just complete worship! Seeing Cory choke up a few times, I see you brother!
